Finasteride

Hi all, Some advice on buying Finasteride/propecia please....I've been quoted £300 (Transform) by one surgery and £600 (ziering) by another for 12 months supply. Then I see that it's £150 from the online store on here. Prices are so massively different it leads to huge confusion as to why (confusion and hair restoration seems to go hand in hand!).Can anyone advise where you should buy the drugs from and even better would be a reason for the same drugs have such large price differences.
Thanks Gavin

Good comparison site but i would be terrified to buy generics from most of these sites as you hear all the horror stories on the internet about dodgy medications and companies making extra charges on your credit cards etc. (not saying these do but please be careful)
Google the pharmacy name and check out the reviews and be very vigilant.

Hi,
The price difference depends on manufacturer. Branded medications are usually much more expensive than the generics, however there is no difference between them, both use the same active ingredient (it is Finasteride when talking about Propecia). The prices between generics can also be different depending on the manufacturer's expenses.

Propecia brand is manufactured by Merck company.

Generic Propecia is produced by different companies. I'd recommend you Cipla company if you decide to try generic meds. I take fin produced by this company and it works good for me and I haven't experienced any side effects.

Out of curiosity Mr Davis has the generic Cipla Propecia got a name like Fincar or similar?

Yes, you are right, Fincar is produced by Cipla, however it is 5 mg finasteride. Finpecia which is also produced by Cipla is 1mg finasteride and it is what I take.
