Fine hairs growing 7 weeks post surgery?

If you read my update 5 weeks post surgery and hair is shedding' - you will be up to date.

But just giving my update 7 weeks post surgery. Some of my implanted hairs (thicker) still seem stunted. and are not growing or falling out!? Where as most is falling out. I have also noticed some pimples - but was told they are natural.

I have also noticed (whilst looking really close up to the mirror) that there are some VERY fine hairs on the implanted zone and was wondering if this is a sign of re-growth or the start or will these fine hairs shed and regrow thicker and become more dense as time progress? - I won't be happy with the result if these fine tiny hairs is what the re-growth phase is?! These thin fine hairs are colourless! Is this natural?

The hairs are so fine and thin it looks like what's on the back of your had (wrist), fingers or arms etc!?

Would love to hear from anyone who has had a hair transplant and experienced the full result 12 -18 months on!? I have attached a recent pic and this is compared to my profile photo taken 3 weeks post surgery - I THINK you can see the implanted zone.

The wait is so frustrating would you not agree?;;::::/

Best regards.

I hope these fine hairs don't shed! They are so tiny, thin and colourless - is there a specific way to treat them!? Anyone? only 2mm in length - the rest I can see blackhead like dots' on implanted zone and most of the hairs have fallen.

But just wondering about these new hairs - what and how to treat them...! Just hope they don't shed!? They say the newly grown hairs won't shed but if they are so fine then one has to be careful right? What did you guys do when you noticed new hair growth almost 2 months post surgery and how did you treat it?

Thanks

Supersmooth,

It is possible that you are getting growth at 7 weeks but this thin vellus hairs are most likely your native hairs that have miniaturized and the black dots that you see are new hairs just starting to break through. I would try not to scrutinize it at this stage it is frustrating how long it takes but it will happen when it happens. Hair restoration is very much a marathon rather than a sprint.

Good growth to you.

Thanks for reassurance - need to convince my family that it was money well spent haha!

Was looking at your photos 4 months post op- looks very impressive. SO I assume most of your growth took place around 3rd month? When did you notice re-growth? When did your hair stop shedding post op?

I saw your photos 16 days post op and then 1 month and 4 months.!:::C - I assume if most people see a difference around month 4 then I only have a month to 6 weeks left to wait haha.:::C

Hey man.

I had growth 7 weeks after.

Im now 4,5 months post op and now the funnier times begin.
But it is still a waiting game.
I have thousands of babyhairs and some are longer as they growed earlier.
I think when those very short hair starts to grow out really well, they will male a huge difference and maybe im much more happy at the 6month mark.

What i can tell you is that the first 3-4 months were extremely hard and annoying..
This waiting game was driveing me crazy.
Now i can handle it a bit better because i see that im progressing and ill have a good head of hair soon i think.

So for me most growth between 3-4 months but this hairs will not help you that much cosmetically.
They need lenght to do the magic (;.
Relax... Its hard oh yes it is :p
But if you cant relax you know what.. Time will went by.
If you are sleeping or working... Its always the same (;.
You have to wait and you cant do anything about it.
Thats it.

All the best

Do you have a pic of what you looked like 2 months post surgery and then 4 months? I'd like to compare? Thanks

I am not sure which photos you are referring to as I have had two surgeries with Dr Hasson that I have documented but in both cases I saw the biggest transformation in terms of growth from the 4 month mark to the 8 month. That is the typical timeline for new growth and you may see some at 3 months but it is just the start.

Where did you go for your surgery?

Hair Palace - Budapest.

Do you have photos so I can see the change from 2 months to 4 months?
