Hi everyone,

I’ve finally decided that I’m going to get a new hairline. I’ve been doing my own research but prefer to hear real experiences so wondered if anybody can help?

My hairline hasn’t moved since I was 21/22 and I’m now turning 27. I’ve got naturally thick/curly hair but years of hiding a bad hairline have ruined it completely so it needs to be shaved off to start again! With that in mind would people recommend FUT or FUE?

I’d also be grateful if someone has had a similar size procedure done and would shed some light on the price as I’ve seen a lot of different answers online.

Thanks in advance,
Jake

Welcome to the forum Jake. Looking at your pictures I’d say you been between 12-1500 grafts to fill in the temples and some strengthening at the front of your forelock.
FUE or FUT. That has to be your choice. With FUE you can probably have your hair shorter than with FUT. Because of your age and you stating your loss has not progressed I’d say FUE would be the best option for you. It is wise to have your hair checked for miniaturisation, hair loss medications could be advised if required.
Prices are going to vary quite a bit. Things like location, country, experience of clinic can all influence the cost. Patient wise, I’d advise you to look through the patient posted results and comment on their posts with questions you wish to ask. Take a look through the clinics own personal sections further down the forum to give you an idea of what can be achieved.
Anything else, just ask.

Appreciate your help! I’d be looking to stay in the UK and go for a fairly experienced clinic. If anybody has any recommendations with real life before and afters that would also be appreciated!

I think you’ll need to look through the patient section, there’s plenty of real reviews in there.
