Thanks BM small subtle improvements and achievable goals seem to work well. Of course I €™m glad I never gave up and researched for a very long time before doing anything and that line of thinking has almost become a religion for me.

There is a picture below of a giant hole in my ceiling from last year. I had a hole in my roof and that hole was there for almost 2 years constantly seeping with a little water until one day so much water starting coming in that I had to tear the ceiling down. I had to rig up a concrete mixing tub attached to the wall with a small hole in the front so that it would drip into a bucket €¦ €¦ €¦.lol €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦. Why did I wait so long to have it repaired €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦because I couldn €™t do it myself although I know how to roof in fact I know just about every trade there is and I am proficient in them all. But my roof has a very steep pitch something impossible for me to work on as I simply do not have the appropriate equipment or level of skill to work on that terrain.

I also waited so long because I dreaded having to find the right person. The construction trades are very well known for their dishonesty and virtually all employees are required to have a background and drug test. But I found the right person after going through about 4 people and I knew instantly when I met him, I could just pick up on it and along the way in that process I could also pick up on one most especially that I knew without a doubt was dishonest. In fact after one specific question from him on what would be the deciding factor for me if skill and price were equal. I told him €œwhether or not I thought the person I was speaking to was full of shit, etc € but only because is asked. You see I already had enough knowledge about roofing so I couldn €™t be fooled and that was the difference.

But most important look at that second picture as that is the repaired ceiling which I did myself. One of the few trades that took me the longest to learn. How to mud and tape drywall. It took me well over 10 years €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..mostly along the way I would just give up and tell myself I just can €™t do this. It takes a very light touch and an extreme amount of patience as even a small job like this took 7 days as one needs to do just a little and then come back again the next day. When it was finished it needed only about 5 minutes of sanding.

When I first starting learning I would just kind of blob it on and in my mind I thought somehow it will work itself out maybe I will just do a little more sanding later €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦but all the sanding in the world was not going to help fix something that started off as crap to begin with so it ended up becoming stucco or calling someone who had the skill to try and fix it. Anyway I €™m glad I never gave up and kept telling myself I can learn this and over time as I watched others and visualized it more in my head I have become very good at it.

This may seem like a completely bizarre post but to me in means something and if others get it great if not it €™s not for lack of me trying. Some skills take a very, very long time to learn and that must be respected and for me FUE falls into that category as it takes years €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦years of not giving up. Many of us need to be very thankful for those that kept doing the difficult until it became easy because I know I am.

I might not come off at times as being thankful €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦but I am €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.. very few doctors have taken the skill level to the point where body and beard hair can be extracted proficiently €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦as it got harder they just got better.

sup topccat, the work looks good, so does your hair, I have a question for you, im going to try the concelear that you use, how do you get the product on your hair without getting it on your scalp, and when you wash it out , what do you use ,, thanks for reading, every one have a happy easter;)

Sadbuttrue good question €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ how much hair you have to begin with will determine the time and difficulty of the application. What I suggest is you want to spray it on the scalp while the hair is still very damp. The goal is to reduce the reflection of light off the scalp only and the conealer will give it a matte appearance. Anyone that has any experience with painting knows that if there are a lot of defects on the wall you want to use a paint that is flat. It reduces the reflection of light off the imperfections on the surface as opposed to something like gloss where the walls need to be perfect. It is also why concealer is superior in my opinion to tattooing. With tattooing you still have the reflection of light off the surface area which is the giveaway. Same goes with tattooing a scar €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦you still have the reflection of light off the 3D surface usually raised or indented €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..unless it is perfectly flat it is hardly a solution in my opinion.

After the conceaer is applied to the scalp with a very light touch on the sprayer as you want to get a stubble effect you can let it dry for about 30 seconds or so. Now you want to carefully run a slight wet comb through the hair €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦rinsing the comb after each comb through €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..this will remove the residue of spray on the hair itself being careful not to scrap the scalp with the comb during the process. This allows the hair shaft to retain it €™s ability to reflect light €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦your natural highlights which makes it look natural €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦otherwise a matte appearance on the hair itself looks complete odd and very fake looking.

The basic goal here is to just have a matte stubble effect on the scalp itself €¦ €¦ €¦.no reflection of light off the scalp but as much reflection of light off the hair shaft itself.

I would then suggest styling the hair in place and letting it air dry. Then you can style further once the hair is fully dry.

As a matter of fact that picture above of the ceiling is with flat paint. Granted I have become very proficient at taping and mudding and the ceiling is close to perfect...........the flat paint still makes a huge difference.

Happy Easter to you and your family too.

4[sup]th[/sup] procedure 8 months. The wife commented twice this week about my hair once outside in the Sun and once inside €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..not that it matters but thought I would mention it. The hair must be getting thicker as her comments are just out of amazement. She also commented on how good the kinky and curly grey hairs look and I would have to agree €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.I know many have issues with newly transplanted hairs when they first start to grow out as they can be kinky but it works really well for me.

The curl in the hairs will probably help create the illusion of more coverage, they look natural.
Thanks for the update.

Thank you BM. The updates are important because it might help just that one person that needs to use body and beard hair. It also serves the purpose of showing how long it takes to see transplanted hair start to grow €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.many do not understand a great deal of patience is needed. It always looks like I am posting the exact same picture over and over again €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.but it €™s not and the difference is always very subtle and hard for many to see.

Along the way I have had some on the forums comment that nothing has changed it looks exactly the same as last time...............but of course that would not be true. Never really bothered me because I know what I see.

Thanks for updating TC. Can see the changes when I scroll back and small numbers placed is making a difference.
How does the beard hair feel to lay on for you? I know at a longer length some report it is harder. Mine is very short so nothing noticeable.

Thanks SL

For me personally when I style my hair the beard hair is the absolute best. It €™s a little thicker, plenty of grays, and has a slight kink. It just all blends so well €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.I mean seriously it €™s like I have this massive amount of hair on top of my head now.

The amount of concealer I use is so small and the back I am growing longer so I will not have to use any concealer at all €¦ €¦ €¦.maybe just tie it into a pony tail once it gets long enough.

It €™s great €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..it €™s really great and I €™m not just saying that to say it €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.the difference for me is huge.

And really that €™s the thing for such a small number of grafts it €™s like where is all this hair coming from €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.the yield has been exceptional.

Not really sure Dazzster............I was suppose to be moving but it's such a big decision. Have lived in Chicago my whole life..............but the state and the city seem to be heading in the wrong direction..............still undecided on when and where to.

Here is a picture with concealer I took a few minutes ago. Not the best lighting but it €™s very overcast here and I took it outside. The idea was to place most of the hair in the center forelock well behind the hairline so I could style my hair in a more forward direction as opposed to the side. The reason being is that I have some pretty bad ridging which is easier to conceal with hair styling, at least for now.

I can see the improvements on a monthly basis and when you put the pre op picture next it you can see how far you have come. Dr Bisanga's work with beard hair is excellent and it looks so natural for you. Thanks for some clear photos.
