I did receive a comment that my skin still appeared a little red on another forum. This has more to do with the cold dry air here in Chicago along with just coming back from the gym and working up a sweat. This picture of the beard donor might be a better representation as I took it this morning.

Everyone here is my 8 week update from my second procedure. The healing has gone just as well as for my first procedure and now it €™s only a matter of having the hairs grow out in the recipient area. For those interested in the bht numbers I have had over 2 procedures a total of 491 beard hairs in a fairly concentrated area around the chin since my beard is not very strong and approximately 216 chest hairs and if my math is correct the scalp donor was 1141 over 2 procedures. BHR please correct those numbers if I have made any errors.

Thanks again to BHR for even accepting me as a patient. It was a very risky proposition but they are an ethical, honest and well run clinic and for that I am very grateful. I would also like to say that I hope my many posts on several forums do not come off as being too abrasive as I really consider myself mild manner and willing to help and give to anyone. This whole long 25+ year journey has just added a great deal of stress to my life so I hope most here understand.

One poster on another forum has already commented that he was unimpressed with the result so I probably need to explain this last posting for those who do not take time to read the whole thread. There is no result to see as it €™s been 8 weeks since the surgery. This posting is meant for those that are considering body and beard hair. Close to 500 fue were extracted from my face in a fairly concentrated area I would guess approximately 2 sq inches. The pictures are posted for the benefit of others to evaluate the donor area 8 weeks out and are meant to be informative in nature. The post is not for my benefit it €™s for your benefit.

Topcat,
Im looking forward to seeing those 1800+ grafts when fully grown out, it looks like youre off to a good start. Im also curious to see how the hair from different donor areas blends together.
I always enjoy your posts and have appreciated the benefit of your experience. You are a great help to the hairloss community and were extreemly helpful to me personally.

Hey Topcat

Looking good. Not long to go until your next round of grafts start popping up.

What is your plan going forward from here? Do you have any scalp donor hair left? How about your scars? Are you going to FUE any body hair into them or are you able to hide them? Are you going to have more procedures?

I think when your most recent procedure grows in it is gonna make a big cosmetic difference.

SR

Hi Stingray, yes I am really looking forward to those new hairs as that first procedure made a huge difference for me when using concealer.

I not concerned about the scars too much except maybe that vertical one. For the most part I have enough hair back there so that when I do use a concealer nothing can be seen. I believe I still have a small amount of scalp hair available but I do have to be careful as I still need to conceal those scars that wrap around my head. I would like to keep going back and making small improvements for as long as I can. For me it was getting about over the fear of taking that initial first step, but I am so happy that I did and feel very comfortable knowing that I am in competent and caring hands.

I have seen some of the fue numbers from other clinics and they don €™t even compare when you look at the yield. Not trying to put those clinics down but I have to say it for those that don €™t understand. I can say with complete honesty the yield with BHR has been close to 100%. We are only talking about a couple of 800+ procedures with many of the grafts being single hairs it all grew in very well.

Thank you for asking.

Here is my 3 month update for my 2[suP]nd[/suP] procedure. There is not much to see at this point except for the healing process and the hairs growing back from the previous procedure. Any redness you notice is due to still wearing a hat at the gym and too much sweating. I am just now starting to be able to use a concealer again, but it is still cold here so that is the reason for wearing the hat.

So far I am more than pleased with the slow and steady progress moving forward. Having a natural result and no scarring is paramount. I will take some more photos of the body and beard donor at 6 months to show no white dot scarring when the skin is exposed to the sun as I did during my first procedure.

Here is my update at 4 months after my 2[suP]nd[/suP] procedure. Not much to report at this time as it is way too early to see any substantial growth. I am happy at this point to be able to use concealer and not have to wear a hat.

I also do not really obsess about it. The hair will start to grow when it €™s ready and I just get on with my day.

looking good I don't understand how you can have the hair of a middle aged man and grey chest hair but have the body of a 21 year old (page 8) c;;9

I think you should have your own fitness advice page

LOL, Rich Tea thank you for the nice comment. My chest hair is completely gray and looks terrible if it €™s not trimmed short but at least I can have it transplanted to my head.

One good thing that has come out of this whole hair transplant experience is that it forced me to learn not only as much about the HT industry as possible by speaking with patients, employees, ex employees, forum owners, and others but it also forced me to learn what it really takes to become healthy as I no longer trusted doctors. The more I learned the more I realized that the medical system itself is about 90% unneeded bullshit that just generates income.

It €™s the same with the health and fitness business. Most of it about 90% is just unneeded bullshit to generate income. Your body produces all the testosterone, growth hormone, serotonin and every other chemical in just the right amount when it €™s given the proper diet and environment. Most the major diseases along with obesity can be simply avoided. But this constant barrage of never ending marketing has people conditioned that having a good time is what they the marketers have decided is a good time and it always includes their product.

Every so often I will have a forum reader accuse me of being angry or having an agenda. Nothing could be further from the truth. I just get tired of this constant stream of bullshit I see on the forums sometimes. It really is not necessary and some of these clinics need a few lessons in honesty. You can be honest and still do very well in any business.

I would eventually like to do something fitness and health related but I also have this thing about being honest and having integrity so I €™m still trying to figure out the best approach.

I agree I am fitter now than ever health wise, since I stopped putting all that shit inside me that the muscle magazines told me to do.

still you live and learn

Here is my update at 5 months and the hairs are coming in very nicely. I must say that all this extra hair where there was once none is really starting to make a difference for me. The healing has been exceptional and my donor areas are impeccable. I will update my donor area pictures in another month or so as most of my work at the moment requires me to spend plenty of time in the sunshine. I could not imagine being unable to take of my shirt due to white dotting. The health benefits of all that Vitamin D are just too important.
