I'm sure it was just an off day...the person did not give their name. But the clinic is not too far from me and hearing encouraging things here...so not giving up just yet. Will be sending pics of balding spots etc. Thank you for your reassurances!

2 Month Update:
Not much happening, as is expected, shed nearly all my grafts, did have the odd spot in the recipient area which you’ll see in the pictures but they went in a few days untouched.

I am still applying aloe vera gel once a day and I feel like the redness has faded pretty well. Nearly out of sebamed shampoo and will be using alpecin caffeine shampoo after that!

I just need to be patient, but I’ll be honest I’m finding it pretty difficult now.. I know I still have a long way to go too..

Hold in there HTL33 it will be worth it. I know it’s hard but just keep thinking about the end result when it’s getting you down

Hello, so I'm really thankful for a lot of stories on here but I must admit that your comments are the ones which echo my main concerns. I think I've gotten my head around the fact that the first 3 months or so will be hard (especially since I currently cover myself up at the moment. I echo your concerns on the donor area, I'd be gutted to not feel comfortable or to have a noticeable moth eaten look so it's the one thing putting me off right now.

How are you finding it? Have you tried going short yet and how does it look when dry?

All the best with the rest of your progress! I'm sure you'll be delighted with the end result.

Thanks!

Hi SPat88,

I currently live in a cap when I’m outside and that’s my cover up, I’ve only told my partner and parents, no other family or friends, it’s amazing how quickly people get use to your change! No one mentions the cap to be honest - but I just feel uncomfortable wearing it sometimes, and I guess I’m itching to get some hair through.

I’m planning on getting my first trim on my 3 month anniversary of getting the hair transplant, I’m going to go for a grade 3 round the sides and back and leaving the top alone to continue to grow. I’ll be sure to share those pictures on here so hope they help!

Cheers! It’s hard not to get impatient but I know there’s the exciting bit to come..

I’ve booked in for a trim round the sides and back on my 3 month ‘anniversary’ so will post again then

Everything looks to be on track. You`re past the hardest part now. Waiting for the new growth can be anxious but try not to worry as it will come when ready.
Your donor looks in good condition.
This hair cut you`ve scheduled will tidy things up and should help to make you feel better about your hair.
