FUE Recipiant Scaring

OK so i want to get a few things clear that may give me an advantage to healing better after FUE around the hairline.

this is a quote from a doc who posted on this site
i have highlighted the main part.

More than punch size , skin characteristics play a big role.

Patients with white skin tend to have no visible signs of scars even with punch above 1mm.

patient with dark skin ( indian , around Mediterranee sea ,...) tend to have white dots ( signs of scarring ) with punch even smaller than 1mm.

The first factor that determines scarring is inflammatory reaction after a trauma .The bigger the trauma , the higher the inflammation .

Each person react differently from trauma .After torsion of an ankle , you will observe different reaction from big swelling to nothing from one person to the other .

We should be aware of it and try to decrease the inflammatory process ( control punch size , use medication to decrease the inflammatory process ,and so forth .

In the same idea , we are using phototherapy with LED light to help control that .

Scarring with FUE is rare and for those who have that ,we are coming with ways of treating it .

My question is what about using anti inflammatory after the procedure?? would that help or not? and if not why not what complications can doing this cause. thanks.

I believe a lot of docs do provide anti inflmmatory meds after a procedure to reduce swelling, especially when hairline work has been carried out.

There are usually taken in pill form, is this what you mean or do you feel an injection directly to the area may be more beneficial.

no not an injection you got what i was asking right i just think taking them well after the dose runs out thats given by the doctor. and not the pharmaceutical form. the natural form such as newcahpter zyflomend an CoQ10, pine bark extract etc etc. i think they could help the healing process alot they did wonders for my skin when i had inflamed acne a few years ago

Balboa, it's been my experience that a lower carb diet greatly reduces inflammation. I do have my CRP and homocysteine levels checked every so often so I can confirm this as being a fact for myself. Simple carbs especially have a detrimental effect. I think if you researched the subject a bit you would find plenty of evidence that this is true.

In this study, published in Nutrition and Metabolism (2), twenty eight overweight men consumed a diet of 17% carbohydrate, 57% fat and 26% protein for 12 weeks. Half the men were given a diet which included eggs (about three per day) and half ate the same diet without eggs. Both groups were allowed to eat as many calories as they liked, as long as the proportions of carbs, fats and protein were the same. At the end of the study, the researchers tested blood of the subjects for CRP levels, as well as for adiponectin, a valuable compound secreted by fat cells that helps regulate insulin sensitivity and fat metabolism.

The men who ate the low carb diet that included eggs had significantly less CRP (blood marker for inflammation) and more adiponectin than the group that didn €™t eat eggs! Volek and his team speculate that the eggs make a significant contribution to the anti-inflammatory effects of a low-carb diet possibly due to two factors- the cholesterol in the eggs which increases HDL €œgood € cholesterol, and the antioxidant lutein (found in the yolk) which lowers inflammation.
We love this study because it demonstrates two things we €™ve been saying for years: One, there €™s no need to fear fat from healthy whole food sources like eggs, and two, a lower carb (lower sugar) diet has multiple health benefits beyond weight loss.

hi its ok i totally agree i also found this to be the case with myself too. when i had persistent acne i learned everything there is to know about vitamins way of eating etc. i used to eat very low carb diet and cut out all simple carbs such as sugar, glucose, juices even dried fruits etc, i used to eat a very strict diet and i felt great for it.
the spike in blood sugar levels can cause the body all sorts of problems one being inflammation or in my case at the time more ance,
i used to even take it as far as trying to keep my body alkaline state by not eating acidic foods, this can be tricky and takes getting used to but if you keep the body in an alkaline state hair, skin, and overall health is much improved.
