I know how you feel, I hated the shedding stage, but just keep thinking about the end result!!

So today marks 4 weeks , lots of shedding and just starting monoxidil again. Very hard part as the top is far worse than before my HT but it's to be expected while the native hair recovers I hope. Had the odd pimple which I've just left to sort themselves out. Can see my new hairline now the hair has shedded which I'm excited about.
Thanks for the update. Your donor is recovering and growing really well. The next few months will be tough but I’m sure the end result will be worth it. Good luck mate

Great to see your progress Tomuk and I wish you all the best - you're exactly two weeks ahead of me so your posts provide a useful insight into what's around the corner for me.

My next update will be at 8 weeks unless something dramatic happens

So I'm at 8 weeks. Fairly sure I have finished shedding.

I can feel lots of tiny hairs but I can't see them. I have no redness in my hairline so at this stage I can't even see whats to come.

To be honest this is now the hardest stage where I feel my hairloss of worst then before. This could be because I never had my hair this short and therefore didn't realise my amount of hairloss or even due to the shock of the transplant so hairs have stalled in growth.

Plus side my donor looks to have recovered well.other than the mental side of things no issues to report

8 weeks is very early to see growth in most patients. These months you can expect to look slightly worse due to shockloss, hair being different. It becomes stressful when you compare to early growers and think why am I not seeing this growth. Some people can take 6 months before they see any noticeable growth.
You look fine for this time frame. Try not to worry about it.

So I'm now at the 12 week mark. Transplanted hair started to grow , still very fine and wirey but to be expected. The plus side is I can start to see where my hairline will be. Telling myself it's too early to judge as I feel like I wish a bit more aggressive / lower.

Get the odd spot every now and then but I'm just leaving them be.

So now I'm at the 16 week mark, still lots of fine hairs but I can feel lots of hairs braking the skin. Hair is a mess but should be getting a haircut soon so I will be able to see what donor area really looks like. Still early days I know :)

Looking good Tom. I bet you can’t wait to have a hair cut.
Most people just think it's a lock down haircut but my Barbour will be in for a shock for sure , depending how things go i might even be able to change my hair style after 6-7 months

Good to hear you`re feeling new growth coming through. 4 months is a good average to see this begin. Getting your hair cut will feel good. It`ll be interesting if you`re barber realises you`ve had anything done.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks all.A few days late but more or less week 20 now. Just had my haircut and I can finally stop worrying about my donor site. I know it's still got time to recover but hardly any different than it was before.

People have said how my face shape is different , finally see what they mean so feeling positive.

Early days still and I can feel loads of stubble type hairs and still get the odd spot.

Few 2-3 hairs in the hairline but they could either be native hair from before and or the new hair Infront hasn't come through yet.

Hair was cut down to grade 2

The growth is looking good at 20 weeks. People noticing a positive difference in your appearance is great and must fill you with confidence. Your donor looks in good condition too.
Thanks for the update.

So next little update , I've been able to change my hair style now I don't need Comb over to hide recession or density in the middle.

Not the finish product but I'm happy as it is , glad I put my trust in the hairline as it works being in my mid 30s.

Still lots of stubble hairs I can feel , and the odd white hair / grey in my hairline .

Next update I will do some 50 / 50 with my original shots , wet , dry and centered parted.
