Hi Everyone,
Been going through hair loss for some time now. I'm 32 years old, started noticing it at 26 years old. I've also had thin/fine hair my whole life, but it looked ok for most of my twenties. However, it's gotten worst (sigh) and I'm trying to maintain what I have with Minoxidil/Finasteride (about 1 year- no sides). The medication has definitely helped and slowed down my hair loss (staying grateful!). I want to wait another year before I make any final decisions on surgery of course, after being on medication and stabilizing my hair loss.
Just wanted to reach out to this family and ask am I suitable for a Hair Transplant in the near future? It's recommended for Diffused thinner to not get a transplant, I understand the risk with a shock loss (scary!).
I've emailed my pictures to many clinics and all said I need about 2200-2500 grafts (1200 Crown/1200 mid-scalp). What are your thoughts on what I should plan for? I was thinking to target the crown and my hairline (Don't want lower - Just refined a little bit). The mid-scalp is easy to cover when I grow my hair out, and I'm nervous about the shock less there. My crown is much thinner and there are empty spaces between my hair, which I think a lower punch can fit in between.
I've included some pics (different angles) in regular bathroom lighting and w/ Flash.
Thanks, my People!
