Hair transplant long term results with and without medication

Its nice to see so many people posting positive outcomes on these platforms. However, it seems most cases are patients who only started medication (such as Fin or Dut), either just before or just after their procedure. Some of their success is undoubtably attributed to the medication, not just the transplant, which makes it more challenging when determining if the results are from a fantastic doctor/clinic or if they are great responders to medication. I don’t understand why some men don’t get on the medication at least a year or two prior to their surgery to see how well they respond before their procedure.

Taking hair loss medication for at least six months before getting an FUE hair transplant is a smart move. This certainly gives a clearer picture. Perhaps not essential for large Norwood 5-6 cases though there is an argument that it can strengthen donor hairs also as they may not all be DHT resistant so to speak
