Looks like you had a great result with your 1st Ht, hope your 2nd is just as good.
Out of curiousity what was the name of the Harley Street Clinic that operated on you and whom was the leading Surgeon?
Its not very often I see documented cases of work undertaken by UK Clinics with the exception of a few.

Will keep it private for now Coopman as I wouldn €™t want to influence anybodies decision

You certainly would'nt influence my decision, as London Clinics have a poor reputation. The only way certain Clinics or newly established ones can gain a sound reputation is by publishing verifiable documented work.
Anyhow, I respect your decision to not name your Clinic for your given reason. Hopefully you may reconsider as it is unlikely an individual reading your post would be swayed by just one documented case.
Best of luck!

Just a wee update, all pretty good with my head. Strange I had a totally different recovery this time round, I didn €™t get any swelling but had 3/4 days of the swelling moving down my face the first time round and another thing I had absolutely no pain, took pain killers for the first 24 hours every 4 hours as a precaution but never felt I needed them so after the 24 hours I stopped taking tablets and never started again, Also there wasn €™t any redness on my scalp this time round either, so am a happy chappy so far.
That €™s me 2 weeks post op and the only change is the scabs are half way up the transplanted hairs rather than on my scalp.
Has anybody else had a easier 2nd procedure than there 1st?

4 awesome repairs with SMG
I think a lot of patients have an easier time the second time around as they know what to expect and don't get as worked up.

Glad you had a good experience.

Oh well that €™s me 18 weeks post op and getting close to that magical time when hairs will come through ha-ha. The differences between the two procedure are still continuing, haven had some growth at this stage on my first HT there has only been a tiny amount came through and with suffering a bit of shock loss, my hair line when my hair is brushed back isn €™t to pretty! So have grown it long and to be fair it €™s unnoticeable to everybody else but I €™m sure me and everyone on here has looked at there hairline a bit too much in are lives ha-ha!

I €™m more impatient at this stage than I was in the early stages of my first HT, anyway just needed a rant, don €™t have anybody that I can moan to ha-ha

If anybody had something similar with there second HT, give me some words of wisdom 

All the best. Your first op results were excellent so you should be in for another great result.

5 months is way too early to be so negative. Give it at least 12 months.

yes, the same team did the second op. it just seems strange that nothing is happening, maybe 10 hairs at most have come through, yet I had a new hair line at this stage the first time round!

Seen results in the past when people have had their 2nd HT into an area already worked on, where it is has taken longer to start regrowing than it did after their first op. Hang in there, hopefully things will improve shortly.

Am I being naive? Thinking it €™s a standard practise that a second HT is generally needed to add density? Or can it realistically be achieved in 1 op over a small area?

Oops! I just put a hair band on my head (girly I know ha-ha) to investigate how may hairs had actually came through and was greeted by the sight of lots of very fine hairs about 10mm long sitting up . With the rest of my hair being about 120mm long it seems to me the process has begun and I couldn €™t see the fine hairs €¦..ahhhh big sigh of relief!
