How long after surgery before I'm normal again ? I'm nauseous throughout the day and a headache that throbs with little rest bite. If it's not this, then could it be after effects from the anesthesia ? The pain in my head is preventing me from sleeping and functioning. Even though I take the recommended dose of Ibrufen, it is still there and returns stronger after 2 hours. Should I switch to another type ? I forgot to mention I had 2000 fue grafts 3 days ago.

I did ask the clinic consultant who said it is normal and that I should be fine. I don't think he asked anyone because his answer was instant and I don’t think the clinic has a doctor. My nauseous feeling has cleared up, but I'm still uncomfortable with the pain. Is there any other stronger pain suppressants I can take ?

Lots of people do experience post op pain. Give it more time to heal. Your scalp has undergone a traumatic experience and possibly has some nerve damage that takes time to heal. In my opinion I’d say 2 weeks after surgery the area should be ok. If not, you’ll need to contact the clinic again.

Nerve damage is common among patients. If the clinic say it does not exist or cannot happen then direct them here as they clearly require more education.
Reading a few articles on the subject I was made aware of a clinic that posted something I thought I would share. I thank Google tracking for this small piece of humor.

Hair transplantation does not in any way harm brain tissue. The surface where the hair transplantation is carried out is in the dermis region of the skin. Therefore, it can’t reach the brain tissue. There are no published studies of hair transplantation, causing nerve damage.

Correct - no doctor was present. I do not know if there is a resident one at the clinic, I do not see one listed. I'm thinking it is a tech only clinic and who knows what medical qualifications they have. I'm questioning my choice of clinic, doubts are creeping in and I'm a week post-op, still in pain.

Give it a little more time to see how the area heals. All you can do is wait it out now to see how it turns out.
