Doctor made incisions, everything else done by technicians. Was meant to add density—hairline wasn’t lowered. Now my previously natural looking hairline has multis in it, which is extremely disheartening

They have made a real mess of it. Did the doctor check on the work these techs did? Did he examine the work at the end of surgery? Would you happen to know if they use magnification loupes when planting the grafts or was it naked eye?

Doctor did not check. Was done with naked eye. Honestly really distraught and keen to escalate this issue and make sure no one ever has to attend that clinic again. The Dr is also out of the country and the clinic told me they can’t get in touch with him.

No magnification is one of the commonest causes of multi grafts and poor placement, as well as staff experience/skill or lack of it. Is the doctor an employee or hired in when available?

Hired in when available, I believe. What would be my best course of action with the clinic?

Clinics will have their own policies how they deal with sub par work. Some will ignore you, some will say it looks fine, some may offer some financial refund, some may offer a free or reduced second surgery.
I assume you`ve been in touch with the clinic with you being aware the doctor responsible for your surgery is out of the country. As a clinic, it is their responsibility to assist you because you are their patient. You can ask them why they have placed multi grafts across your whole hairline, keep communications respectful and in writing to avoid any confusion at a later date. Hopefully, they can give you the answers you`re looking for.

Thanks and appreciate the advice. The clinic isn’t being very responsive but I will be pursuing them, If they offer a corrective surgery, then that proves that they acknowledge that something went wrong. If they acknowledge this and do nothing, I will seek to escalate the issue.

Feriduni is a master with repairing hairlines. I would say he is number one in Europe.

Were you successfully treated by the master of repair Dr. Feriduni? Or, was Dr. Raghu your choice?

Sorry to see such results.
The commonest cause of this outcome is when :
1. Too large a punch has been used, and,
2. The excess skin was not trimmed off the graft (in name of direct transplant of hair).
This will require 2 sessions. 1 for HT reversal and the 2nd to do the transplant in the proper manner.
Let me know if I can be of any help.
Regards,
Dr A
