How many grafts and is Demirsoy the right choice?

Hey guys,

nice to meet all of you. I hope all of you are doing great and have the best possible outcome for each problem.

So im 24 and from germany. Hairloss is not really a thing in my family, we just have receding hairlines. Well atleast I hope it is that way So I decided to make that hairtransplant happen and it will happen next year. I thought about many doctors and I came to a conclusion that Dr. Demirsoy will do a nice job and he is not too expensive, which is a good thing aswell obviously.

Now I want to ask you, what you think how many grafts I need and if Dr. Demirsoy is the right man for this job. If you need any further informations just ask me. My financial situation is not the best, hence why I choose him and I also never heard a bad thing about him.

I hope that I will need only one transplant, well looking at my family it seems enough I believe. No one has problems with their crown, only receding hairline/temple area.

I do consider it, but first I'm afraid of jumping on that finasterid train and second I kinda hope that I can hold on to my current hair, as my grandfather has a similiar hairline. He didnt lose a huge amount of hair at the back or anywhere else tho.

But as I said, that is only my hope.

If your family history is just a slightly receded hairline you may be ok having a small procedure to fill in your temples. I would not go for lowering the hairline at all, leave it as is. 24 is quite young, you and any clinic have to plan that you may lose more hair, therefore using the least amount of grafts necessary to achieve what you want and save the rest for the future if needed.
With you being reluctant to try the medications you could have an in person consult to have your hair checked for miniaturisation. This could possibly give you an idea if you`re losing more hair. It is always advisable to get a few consults to compare.
I don`t know much about the doctor you have chosen. There is a patient here who was happy at 10 months, see here, Dr Demirsoy hair transplant
He had curly hair but never updated at 12 months to show his final result and his hairline.

Thank you for the detailed answer! I will definetely have a consult to check my hair for miniaturisation. And that was also exactly my plan, just fill in my temples and great a good hairline. Nothing more, as I still have much hair on top.

If my family history prooves to be true, then everything should stay as it is. Maybe a bit more temple hairloss. But we all have that "big forehead" + a slightly receded hairline.

Ive seen some good results of Dr Demirsoy I believe or atleast I never seen a bad hairtransplant by him. Can you recommend anyone else for my temples? And how many grafts should he atleast implant?

Unfortunately I don’t recommend clinics. I prefer people to do their own research and make their own mind up on who to go to. There are quite a few clinics in here. Look further down the forum page in the doctors own sections. Lots of results to look at.
Take your time researching. Don’t rush it.

Thank you anyway! As im planning the hairtransplant just next year, I got some time to research and figure out what exactly I want. About medication I believe its a bad thing to do, thats my personal opinion tho. Everyone can do whatever he wants. If I would have to take something, Id take topical finasteride. I heard good things about it, I just have no idea how to get it.

Also I quite hope for many of us, that they figure out some way to stop hairloss or atleast clone hair follicles. I've heard many good things about a solution for this year, but who knows.
