Is it the hairline or behind that needs the top up? Best of luck with it.

Yesterday I had my top up and really can’t wait to see the final result. Dr Arshad and the whole team as usual made me feel very welcome and relaxed, in fact these treated me like a VIP.

When Dr Arshad assessed my thinner patches he wanted to increase the density as a whole in the right side area and add a few grafts to the left side also he thought this would give my final result and density an overall better result. He estimated around another 1000 grafts but he would have to shave the front to get right in there for the density. I was happy to have it shaved if it made my final result even better and it was.

This time round Dr Arshad decided to do the insisions first so he knew exactly how many grafts to remove from the donor area plus the grafts would be out of the body for less time.
I then had lunch and the techs then implanted the graphs with both the Dr Arshad and Sommiya regularly coming in to check everything was looking good and on track.
The fact that Dr Arshad not only wanted me to be happy with my Hair Transplant result but he also wanted to be happy with it, has confirmed why I’m glad I stayed in the UK for my procedure but also the fact that I choose Dr Arshad who cares about his patients as well as being a very ethical Dr. I will post some photos once I have taken some and also what my graft breakdown was this time. The techs said there were a lot of multi grafts this time.

Glad it went well BM. Interesting to hear incisions first, does make sense thinking about it!

Good healing and best wishes for good growth. The graft break down is interesting with so many 3 hairs so I assume they are not on the hairline and will help with the thickness in that area behind.

Exactly!! the hair line was not touched, just adding density behind it mostly down the middle and right hand side

Can you post the pictures the clinic took post FUE for your donor and graft placement, yours are obviously a few days older so healing. Thanks

1000 grafts will make a massive difference. This should be awesome. Can't wait to see your progress and the final results in 12 months time.

Interesting that Dr Arshad made the incisions first. Seems like quite a logical way of performing the surgery, given that the grafts will be out of your head for a smaller amount of time. I wonder if other surgeons do this?

Yeah I was 95% happy with my first HT so these extra 1000 grafts are really gonna finish it off and make the result 110%. Dr Arshad wanted to do the incisions first to make sure he extracted the right amount of grafts for the required area plus less time out of the body. Very logical to me when he advised this

Hi BM, (perhaps you need to add an ‘ex’ before your username now).

How you getting on with the partial shave?

I wash my hair tomorrow for the first time so depending how I can cover the front bit up with the longer top part will depend how I find it. I don’t think it’s going to be to much of a pain

The first hair wash after a HT is a great feeling. Enjoy.

It`s good to hear everything went well with your surgery. The extra 1000 grafts should create the extra density you want and finish off your result. You did say there was no hairline work but the picture you added looks as though some grafts were placed along it. If you add the clinic pictures it will show the placement and extractions more clearly.
I know a few clinics who make incisions first, it’ll be interesting to see if there’s quicker growth of the transplanted grafts.
You look to be healing well at day 5, donor looks in good condition too. Sleeping should be getting better now.
Looking forward to seeing and following journey 2.
All the best.
BM.
