Thanks, ok that’s good to know. No I haven’t used finasteride, just regaine and theradome. I plan to use finasteride in the future post kids. Anything else you can suggest to prevent further hair loss until then?

There’s oral minoxidil or topical Finasteride. Maybe check tosee what the advice is for the topical when trying to conceive.

12 months post op

I attended Maitland Clinc for my 12 month review and could not be happier with the results. The contrast in before and after photos below is rather astonishing. I find it quite uncomfortable looking at the pre op photos where my hair is combed to really emphasise the balding areas. This however just reinforces what a life changing decision it was to have the treatment. I got married in April and it was so liberating to be able to enjoy having photos without worrying about how my hair was looking.

I cannot speak more highly of the care I received at the Maitland Clinic and would recommend contacting them if you are in the same position I was a year ago.

Dramatic difference. Good planning and good execution by Dr Ball. Its a conservative approach but just enough to make you look 10 years younger and non-balding.

I see you got some thinning in the crown, which is a good approach that you went conservative with the first one, so if you ever need to fill that in if it keeps fading away, it should be no problem.

Thanks louii, a definite neat and natural result. I’ll certainly keep a close eye on the crown. It possibly looks like it’s a little denser since I started applying regaine to the area alongside theradome use but that might just be how it’s styled.

Hi Hairstory. Thanks for updating with your 12 month review. Dr Ball has certainly achieved a great result for you that looks very natural. What a difference to your before pictures. Being able to enjoy activities and having pictures taken without thinking about your hair is a good feeling. Your hair loss med regimen will hopefully maintain and possibly improve your hair further.
