Dr. Arocha is quite charming himself, however charm's only interest is closing a deal. As a young woman with a high hairline who turned to Arocha to resolve years of torment from strangers & peers, my dream journey that I worked so hard & saved so long for turned into a nightmare. It was a very painful & heart-wrenching experience. Here is my story.
I was a healthy 26 year old female with no hair-loss history in either side of my family, even my nearly 70 year old father has a full head of hair. All I had was a high hairline that I wanted to lower with a less invasive procedure, FUT (strip transplants). The hair transplant procedure is a rather meticulous and lengthy process that requires a steady & expert hand to successfully complete. When performed by a knowledgable & experienced specialist, desired results are nearly always guaranteed. I paid a hefty fee to guarantee my desired hairline was designed & touches only by a well-versed practitioner, however, after he removed the strip at the back of my scalp & sewed it up, he vanished. He left the most meticulous & grueling work to his technician. This nearly 7-8 hour procedure should’ve been conducted by the professional himself, as it is what I paid for and at no moment was it ever discussed that his technicians would take the lead role. As a result, guess what happened? I suffered severe shock loss. The doctor blamed my genetics, so I made several appointments with dermatologist & other hair specialists to pinpoint whether or not my health is to blame. Apparently I had no alopecia, no thyroid condition & an incredibly healthy scalp. The doctor could not care less about the botched job I received due to his negligence. I suffered severe shock loss & the hair at my temples was NEVER the same.
Everyone takes differently, but as a 26 year old female with Good health & previously incredibly thick hair (even on both sides of my family),I can tell you this was not my fault, rather the doctor’s for having allowed poorly trained techs to do the lump sum of HIS work which is NOT what I paid for.
I wanted a lower hairline to look more feminine, in my opinion, since the high hairlines haven’t been deemed as such since the Victorian era & years of bullying have traumatized me. Rather than helping the cause, Dr. Arocha caused me a great deal of suffering & major depression at the hand of the bald spots I was left with.
They say you get what you pay for, but at nearly $15,000, I didn’t... I paid for a refined specialist to work with me and got a botched job at the hands of technicians.
