Dear friends,
While watching the forum for several months, I decided to write in this thread just today. At first I thought: why should I enter again in debates etc. but ultimately I took the decision because DHI client had also post to my thread in hairlosshelp.com and I realized that there is a "war atmosphere" in connection with the DHI globally, which I have not yet managed to "clarify". I am from Greece, I have 3 and half transplantation with DHI, with a total of approximately 5.500 grafts transplanted in my head, from which 1200 are from body and 567 from beard (the half refers to the second one which was a small session, offered by DHI for free, in order to cover a 5-8% nongrown transplants from my first one. I just complaint to them that in some parts of my head there were some "open spaces" - about 100-150 graft were enough in order to cover those-and they offered me a small session, that gave me approximately 600 grafts, for free). As mentioned, I post in hairlosshelp.com and also in the Greek relevant forum (hairlossgr.com). In both forums I keep a thread with my results etc. with the nick-names: close and n094 respectively.
After this long introduction, I would like to mention that I am absolutely delighted with the results of my transplantations. I try so long to figure out what is the matter with people who post nasty and negative comments for DHI. Most of them do not upload photos and do not give a complete history to justify the negative writings. Few of them state hair-transplantation in DHI during the 90s or earlier (from as I know, DHI is present in the hair-transplantation for about 40 years), some of them give a complete history and uploading photos, actually showing poor results. But I think it is unfair both for them and for DHI to compare periods, techniques and tools that have nothing to do with today. For example you can not compare someone who did a strip hair transplant back on the decade of 90 (or early 00 ') which (then) achieve a maximum density of 15-20 grafts/cm2 with a current "invisible FUE (or even FUT) surgery that gives a 35-55 (or more) grafts/cm2. So they are wrong, based on current data which are relevant for all clinics including DHI (which had the "misfortune" to be present at the beginning of the evolution of hair restoration). Finally, also a few (even fewer than of the above) with a recent surgery in DHI write negatively about them indicating that most of their grafts didn t make it or that did not get what they expected etc. So if anyone noticed their photos (only a few people have upload, but if you search one can find them) will be able to understand that all or most of the hairs that they agreed to put grew, so, what is the problem here? The problem has to do rather with the market strategy of the clinic. From what I understand, there are situations with patient-clients that are not properly informed from the "sellers" of the clinic. So, even if the surgery is successful and all of the grafts grow, eventually the result is not what they expected because they just needed more grafts and nobody explained them well enough....
In any case, and based on true results I have seen myself in the DHI, during the last few years that I visit them, either for my transplants, or for scheduled reviews, I can say that they are doing a very good job. There is no doubt, from what I ve seen, that (at least from 2006 which is the year of my first transplantation) transplantations conducted at DHI are entirely satisfactory.
If you want, you can visit the above mentioned sites to see my results, or you can ask me to post here....
