Hi richfrog,thanks for the reply.

The big scar does draw attention away from the white dotts so in a weird way its doing a job.

At a 1 guard its ok a person on the street would not notice unless i was in a queue then the person behind me would notice for sure.Im care free at a 3 guard but a 2 guard is prob the worst length for me,not looking forward to next week!

Hi Mars,

I don't understand why a 2 guard would be worse than a 1 guard. 1 guard isn't bad judging by your pics and I think you should be able to get away with it. Most people in queue do not examine very closely another person's head in front of them. At least I don't. Okay, I take that back - not the back of the head but I do look at people's hairlines but that's because I'm part of the ht industry. I truly don't think the general public will pick apart a person's scalp in line. Maybe take some pics next week. Same angle, etc. ;)

Hi janna

At a 1 guard i can see white dot's but the hair is so short density is irrelevant but as it grows out the areas in which their are alot of white dotts close together stay thin looking and areas that werent overharvested grow thicker creating a patchy look, white dotts arent visable at a 2 guard but as i said its more patchy looking. Its really only the area in the centre in which this is a prob because the greek clinic took out all the large hair groupings,i remember being told 'we will take only 3 and 4 haired grafts for density' if 1's and 2's were taken the patchyness would not be that much of a problem and the white dotts would not be half as visable.

The areas in which smg took grafts are perfect,my hair is buzzed to 3mm and not a white dott in sight anywhere, that is how a donor area should be after fue.

I feel like its been ages since i updated this thread, the main reason being their was never going to be drastic changes from 250 fue only subtle changes and i doubt subtle changes interest people much,i really should have started a thread at the very start of my repair it would have made for a far better thread.

So its been one yr since i had around 250 fue in to my temples to go on top of a previous around 850 (i think) the year previous,i was around a nw 2.5-3 not sure,in terms of the general density i think any more would have been a waste,i am perfectly happy the density, one or two areas need a touch up though which i will get to in a bit..

I mentioned before that some hairs grew in kinked,i dont think i have one kinked hair now,the hair really does mature over time so anyone worried about this dont be it will settle and the texture will get smoother and straighter,a texturising matt clay helps with this imo.

With all the hairline punch outs(300 i think)i had to get i am suprised i have no white dott scarring at all,i got sun burned and it all went red then brown but no white dotts appeared,i am unsure why but its great,i knew the white dotts werent visable under normal circumstances when i dont get sun because i am whiter than snow..

I started propecia jan 2011,i bought a 3 month supply,it lasted me nearly one and a half years, roughly .5mg mwf..i have upped my dose to a quarter of proscar 1.25mg everyday, the reason for the big jump is a few areas of native hair bordering the transplanted area have weakened a bit i dont want this to progress any further and is a reason as to why i need a touch up fue.

The area that was bothering previously in the thread(the back part of left temple) needs more grafts for sure its the only area that didnt fill in 100%,the frontal hairline around the widows peak needs a few grafts too it can look a bit pointy sometimes as the peak itself being native and non transplanted is a bit on the low side.I probably should have got more than just the 250 last time,i wanted to use as little as possible, the fact i need a touch up is not ideal but i like america and being at smg is always a positve experience!

I was due to go back to smg for around 250-300 fue in june,i had to cancel because at the time i thought good look ink was the way to go with regards to smp for treating my dhi fue scars,to get the smp done too i was going go have stay an extra week in mn to get this done but i didnt have the money to do it all in one trip, since then i changed my mind about going to gli so i shot myself in the foot by cancelling because smgs fue calendar is booked up,hopefully someone will cancel a date and i could sneak in.I will get a test patch from gli on my leg though to see how the permanent smp changes over time i think people need to know this.

I am getting smp from bella medical in milan too.She seems the best bet at this stage.

Hi Mars.

Its good to hear the few kinked hairs you had have now matured and straightened out. Also that you are happy with the work.

Its also a good idea to have a test patch done with the tattoo to see how it looks in a year plus, hopefully it will very good.

Be good to follow your progress with it.

Cheers Bm.

Hi Mars,

Have you taken any new pics? It has been awhile since you updated. I'm glad the kinky hairs have straightened out. It usually takes few growth cycles for the hairs to be normal again. Thanks for updating.

Hi janna

I have some new pics,i could email some to bm to resize them,i feel bad getting him to resize them for me all the time..resizing kinda ruins the clarity its a shame i cant upload the pics as i have them because they are really clear and would do better justice to how natural the hair is up close zoomed in.

One thing i forgot to mention on the previous post was the area that had a lower yield was the only area i was using dermatch on,i dont think its a coincidence because every where else filled in what looks like 100%,i wouldnt reccomend using dermatch as early as i did,i used it around 10 days post op,i only used it a hand full of times in total but 10 days was too soon imo.
I blame the applicator not the actual concealer.

Hello Mars,

That was hell lot of improvement. I'm glad that someone truly had showed concern about the hair loss and share their true experiences.

By the way, how much did it cost you for the treatment?

Hi cdurajana

Thanks for the kind comments.

I had 3 surgery's with smg of which some where 2 day sessions.

The first was punch out sessions,i wont disclose the exact price but i will put it to you like this dr shapiro could have charged alot more and it would still have been cheap,i was given a break on the cost of the punch outs for sure,it was very generous!

The rest i was charged $5 per graft because i was over sea's patient, that is gone up to $7 i think now,not sure, either way its cheap compared to some clinics that charge $10 per fue graft which is crazy.

Hi bn, i did get it done a few weeks ago, it looks great buzzed to 3mm or under, as it grows out there after it is not as effective but still def worth doing no matter what length. I will send pics to bm to add to this thread. Thanks for asking.

Thats awesome Mars, can't wait to see the pictures.....what was the procedure like to have done, was it painful at all?

Its pretty much painless, in some areas you cannot feel a thing at all, in other areas you feel a quick tiny little pinch, on a pain scale of 1 to 10 id give the pain a 1 or 2.

Will get pics up the weekend.

Hi Mars did you have this done in one trip to Milan or did you have to visit twice....once for the procedure and once for the tweaking?....I would imagine it was just the once in your case being the donor area but curious all the same dude
