My Hair Transplant at The Hair Dr Clinic in Leeds by Dr Arshad

Day 1- Arrived at The Hair Dr Clinic at 10am after the school run for my FUE procedure with Dr Arshad. I was met by Dr Arshad and the team to discuss the procedure and if I had any questions or concerns.

We then agreed a hairline based on what I was looking to achieve from the surgery. The aim for myself was to get my hairline back to where it used to be. I had noticed that my hairline was receding more and more and it was starting to bother me. Once I was happy with my hairline we went to meet the technicians and to start the procedure.

The technicians shaved my hair and at the front and back so that my hair could be extracted. Then Dr Arshad injected the back of my head so that the area was numb for extraction. This part of the procedure is slightly uncomfortable but only for a short period when the needles goes in. Once the area is numb you can’t feel anything. Then it was just a case of relaxing whilst the extracting took place. This procedure I had 2000 grafts taken.

Once the extracting was completed we took a break for lunch. Then Dr Arshad was ready to implant the hairs into my new hairline. Dr Arshad is very professional in his work and really takes the time to ensure everything is done to perfection. Dr Arshad would also regularly check on me to make sure I was ok as well. Implanting the grafts took a few hours. Once the new hairs were implanted it was just a case of getting cleaned up and then discussing the aftercare procedure.

Dr Arshad explained all the different medications I would need to take for the next week. I was also provided with a breakdown on each day detailing the medication I would need to take. I found this useful as there is quite a lot to take so making sure you don’t forget anything is important. Then it was just a case of relaxing for the next week until the healing took place. I then went back to the clinic for a follow up a few days later to see how everything was healing and if I had any further questions post procedure.

In summary my experience with The Hair Dr Clinic has been extremely positive . As you can imagine a procedure like this can be daunting. However, I felt really relaxed and at ease through the whole process from start to finish not only with Dr Arshad but with the whole team at The Hair Dr Clinic. Any questions or concerns I had were answered. Every detail was explained to me about the procedure so that I knew what to expect from each part of the process. The team at The Hair Dr clinic really want the best results for their clients. I can’t recommend them highly enough and can’t wait to see what the final results look like. It’s just a case of being patient to see the results. I have added some photos of the different stages so you can see the work that’s been done. If this procedure is something you are considering I would definitely recommend going in for a consultation to discuss things with The Hair Dr Clinic.

Thanks for the update @Deanomac10 . Still the very early stages obviously. The majority of your transplanted hairs will have shed and entered the dormant stage. They will start to regrow in the next few weeks, with normally around 15% growth at that stage. Good growth and best wishes.

Hi Deanomac. Your progress looks to be on track at this stage. Do you have a breakdown of the grafts used?
I`ll look forward to following your progress.

All the best.

Hi @Deanomac10 thanks for updating. The hair count combined with your hair characteristics this will give you a nice soft and natural hairline and then blend back into your existing hair. Hope is well and look forward to your next update. Best wishes

Hi Hopeful,

The costs are on the clinics website as far as I know. It also depends on the number of grafts needed. The website should give you a good idea.

Yeah, what did it cost mate? is it by the graft or does the cost fit into graft quantitys...i.e 2000 for £5k 3000 for £7k etc?

Cheers

Tom

Whilst some have no problem sharing the cost of their procedure openly, it is a private matter @TOMMYTWO, and it´s only reasonable to respect that person´s privacy. He tried to send you to our website for information, he is a client, paid for his procedure but that doesn´t make him an expert of our terms and conditions. As it states on the site FUE for example starts at £3.00 per FUE Graft. The cost can fluctuate on the technique and the number of grafts you require, so FUT or BHTFUE for example. For those travelling from a distance nationally or internationally to us we offer assistance with travel and accommodation. Hope that helps.

No worries at all, of course I respect peoples privacy and yes I could of went to the website so a bit lazy there. But also transparency of cost is very important too in this industry, its what people want at the end of the day.

Thank you for highlighting the cost, appreciated.

No problem @TOMMYTWO, and you are correct, openness is very important to help people understand what they are getting. Aspects such as cost should be open, and post-op, graft and hair count in relation to the number of grafts placed should also be provided. We also believe in performing one procedure, one patient per day. The Doctor performing the FUE punching and custom made recipient sites for the tech team to place the grafts.

That's sounds like high integrity with the doc doing all the work, extraction, opening channels etc...

6 month update:as u can see there is a before procedure and current 6 month progress. I am happy with the results so far. There is still more growth expected as it can take up to 12 months for full results. Even at 6 months I am able to style my hair like I want and I am loads happier with my hair. I will keep you posted in the next few months.

Hi Duffman,

This is 11 months progress now. I’m really happy with how my hair looks and the density as well. I can style my hair however I want now. I would definitely recommend going in to speak with Dr Arshad to discuss the different options available for you. Will definitely be worth it.

Regards
