So- just over a week until my 2nd operation at BHR clinic in Brussels. I've grown my hair a bit to show the clinic the issue I have with the density. I thought I'd post a picture to give you guys an idea of a before pic.

Unsure why, but it's saying my photo is too large to upload. Moderators do you have any ideas? Never had this problem before

I will definately give an account of my experience mate. I will post photos, alongside a non bias evaluation of how I think it went and how the clinic were etc. They've been good so far. I will also do a review of my travelling too. I'm taking the eurostar to and from Brussels from London, so I'll let people know how it is going through passport control after the operation. I really don't care about people looking or asking questions. I think more people should embrace doing something about it, instead of being embarrassed or ashamed.

That would be really helpful thanks. Speaking of people embracing doing something about their hair loss i was shocked to see a gentleman walking round the Trafford Centre last week shopping with his lady friend, he looked like he had just come straight out of surgery and wasn't wearing a ball cap and nobody took a blind bit of notice. Good luck i hope all goes well for you.

My plan is to return the morning after my op, get it cleaned by the Dr and make sure he is happy, you get a black bandana type hat from BHR clinic. I have a loose fitting beanie type hat I'll wear over the top. I wouldnt suggest being in public without it covered straight after a procedure, that's when it's most prone to infection. Plus I wouldn't want to disturb the grafts.
I've told all my friends and family I'm having it done, I'm amazed by the amount of people who have contacted me and asked questions etc. I will definately keep you posted mate, if I can't upload photos on here, I'll happily send you emails

Your openness and honesty to all your friends has got to be a good thing, i hope i have the bottle to follow your example when i get one done. Would the beanie really be necessary? plenty of people wear bandanas these days. Get yourself a Guns and Roses t shirt and nobody would bat an eyelid:ROFLMAO:

Thanks for the kind wishes, I'm getting a bit nervous now! I've grown my hair to show the Doc exactly where the problem areas are from. My first procedure, it's such a shame I'm unable to load and show them to you, it defeats the object of this thread really. If the pictures are still to big to load from my phone, drop me a msg and I'll send them. Via email.

So I'm sat in my room at the Hotel Catalonia after just having 1000 fue grafts added to my frontal area, making it 3115 grafts approx. I must say I am very happy with the surgery received this time round. I will get an exact graft count from Dr B and his team, but visibly it has filled all the gaps I had concerns with. The Doctor explained he picked mainly 3's & 4's when looking for suitable donor. The women who installed the grafts were really lovely too, I didn't csth their names, but they were very friendly and courteous. I am to go to the clinic tomorrow for a clean and dress, before getting the eurostar back to UK. I can honestly say that BHR clinic are very professional and friendly, and all of their employees are good people.

Congrats on your recent surgery dude, please please could you add a pic as i'm itching to see what it looks like (if not it's cool i understand if you prefer not to) It sounds like you had a great experience with the team at BHR as expected....they are a class clinic and up there with the best imo. Let us know how you get on through customs etc although i can't see it being an issue as it never has been for me during my surgeries.

Thanks for sharing dude

I returned to BHR Clinic this morning, where they checked their work and were pleased. It was cleaned and then the bandana put on. I was advised not to move it until I get home.
Most of my grafts were 2's and 3's, which is perfect as they were distributed just behind my hairline. I am now just hopeful for a great result. I have tried to upload photos, but thr files are too big.
The walk through eurostar passport control was a breeze. I had been dreading this part, but I can only commend the Belgian and British passport authorities, they were very discreet and helpful. Even mentioned I looked a lot better than most who pass through. (I haven't got the awful swelling yet).
A real success of using eurostar for my journey. I would certainly have no problems using eurostar for any future travels over to the BHR Clinic. The long road to waiting begins here. I am just glad the worst part is over...

Really pleased for you @Rocketman. I remember going through customs at Antwerp and Brussels airport and having to remove my cap both times. I got a few funny looks from customs and other passengers, but was not too bothered as I knew I would never see them again.

It won’t be long until your new grafts start coming thorough. I’m now 4 months post HT and I’ve got lots of new hairs in my hairline.

Happy recovery!
