Yes spikey stiff stalled hairs - I have pulled a few out. They have just been sitting there not growing properly or shedding! - They actually just slide out easily and I don't feel pain when pulling them - I guess they have to fall out eventually for new hair to grow lol!? Don't want ingrown hair.

But the clinic said to let them fall naturally. I have a strange looking head of hair now with natural hair (sides and donor) very thick and the island not growing back- I then have some implanted hair that has grown over 1 inch then, wiry stalled hairs along with these new very fine tiny colourless hairs - (I think that's the start of the new growth do you!? - These hairs are like those of the back of your hand, or on your fingers or arms etc

Just attached a photo taken a few weeks ago of some stalled hairs - implanted that came out at once.

'J' - shaped like this? haha! - This one just slid out - didn't have to apply any pressure.!!! Interesting how they never mention to pluck out stall hairs!?

who gave you the advice to pluck out stalled hairs? that's a new one for me I have never heard that before, I wouldn't think the pulling of any hairs would be a very good idea.

I read up on it - some pluck them out. Well, if they are sitting there or stalled and not growing then they will only cause inflammation of the scalp or pimples so best for them to dislodge or pluck them out to make room for new hair to grow.

Hi Friend
Everything seems to be looking as expected another few weeks and things will start to move on a bit , as for stalled hairs dont worry about them when your washing your hair dont be afraid to give the scalp a good wash you can make small circles and apply pressure that normally removes topside hairs that have not shedded , its not a problem as you will see in a few weeks the hairs will grow and I am sure you will be a happy man all the very best and thanks for keeping us updated

Well, I hope so - but why are some hairs stalled and not growing? Why didn't they shed like they should have done?

Also with these very tiny, wispy fine hairs - is this the new hair? will they just become thicker and more distinctive? Right now I can hardly see them...unless I took a flashlight torch. Also what happens to the transplanted wiry spikey hair that hasn't shed and has kept growing?

I have my 3 month check up next week.:::C

I here you friend and the them wispy hairs your seeing well I had the same and also I could see them with a flashlight , I guess what will happen you will wake up and just start to see a difference and then you will settle down a bit as for the hairs that never shed I just let them alone to be honest I washed and scrubbed some fell some did not , if you look at my first HT you will see around the 3 month mark and onwards what happened to me and many others your going to be fine its just the waiting but not long now .

So these wispy, tiny, fine hairs is the start of new growth that will thicken up as time goes by!?

the wispy hairs are definitely the signs of new growth mate! I had the exact same around the 10/11 week mark...they will turn dark and thicker shortly so just hang in there! It's a horrible time I know so much worry about what's going on...you are almost at the point where you can expect to see new growth so the next couple of months are going to be exciting for you I'm sure!

Thanks well I am at week 11 now.

The sheet /guarantee post surgery doesn't talk about the type of hair all it says is that hair will start growing after 3-4 months post surgery etc. But they didn't mention that the new hairs will by wispy and very fine - almost like the hairs on your wrists and back of fingers or arms etc.

Look forward to seeing this very fine wispy hairs thicken and grown and become more dense etc. So I can convince others especially my parents that the transplanted FUE 6000+ hairs was money well spent and more importantly convince myself.

I am sure you can understand what I am thinking, because I still have stalled hairs and some implanted ones that have not yet shed? - (like why am I growing these thin, wispy feather like hairs?). Why are they so tiny, why are they not thicker.. etc! Is it old hair or what? But now you and Daz have confirmed to me that it is the start of new growth which puts my mind at rest. Time will tell.

I did pluck out a few stalled implanted hairs - it's actually around those where I was getting pimples and where it was very itchy. In the end if they are not going to grow or shed then they may as well disappear to make room for new hair growth ha! The stalled hairs just slide out! - BUT does this mean the graft failed? Just wondering if there is a reason why they didn't shed and are stalled. - Also the implanted zone is still pink and itchy as is the donor area. What month are you post surgery? Does your scalp still itch?

Exciting times and I am sure it will be well worth the wait and money!:::C Will improve my confidence and above all feel happier and look forward to doing some cool hair styles like when I did have very thick hair.

This was a few years ago with Penn & Teller in Las Vegas - BUT I used Nano fibre concealer so the hair loss is merely noticeable. haha!

I have a question....anyone?

What happens to this island (tuff of hair)? as you can see and may have seen from the photos pre-op I had the island effect like TIN TIN - this is my natural hair however it is thinning!

I have notice that since the surgery it (natural hair in the island circle) has not really grown back very fast and seems thinner and I know it may thin and my natural hair loss will continue but I was wondering if my new transplanted hair will grow the same length as my natural hair? - circled it as you can see. - Just wondering your thoughts - does this blend into the same growth speed as your natural hair does or vice-versa?c;;9

So anyone? - Does the new (fine) hairs grow the same speed as my natural hair would? - Bear in mind that my natural hair in the island (middle) there is still thinning!?>

are you on any meds? after my transplant I was on minoxidil, finasteride and a biotin a pill and found that my original hair grew crazy fast compared to my transplanted hair.
