Hi P,

You have been a slow grower but at least there is much improvement over last month. It will keep getting thicker. Your donor scar is looking very nice. I like your variety of pictures. Thanks again for keeping us up to date on your progress.

Slowly but surely your hair grows! Hopefully, much more growth to look forward to in the coming months. Thanks again for keeping a thorough documentation of your progress to share with everyone. We at SMG appreciate all your time.

Sometimes the fast growers make all of us a little nervous for the slow growers. We received a Christmas card today from a patient from 3 years ago. The difference from 6 months post op and how he looks now is very dramatic. No sign of hairloss, it's good to see him with a big smile thinking of us.

Things are definitely starting to take form. It is hard being a slow grower but in the end it will all be worth it.

Hi Nat.

Thanks for keepiing us updated on your progress.

Your hairline is looking thin with not much change from month 7 to 8,however try not to let this worry you as hopefully you are just a slow grower. You will need to wait it out until 12 months at least to evaluate the result.

Everyone grows at different rates, its hard when you expect to see lots of growth and compare your own growth with pictures of early growers.

Just hang in there as theres plenty of time for lots more growth.

Take care bm.

Hi Nat,

Some improvement in density but not so much in the hairline. Another month or two to keep an eye on it. Thanks for updating.

Hi Nat.

Thanks for updating ,i can see your hair improving with every update although its still thin in the hairline and theres the area you marked out that appears to have very little growth.

Hopefully you are just a very slow grower and the next 2-3 months you will experience lots more growth.

Its good to hear SMG are in regular contact with you to monitor your situation and help you anyway they can.

Hang in there for the next couple of months and see what happens.

Take care.

Nat,

There clearly is the thin area in the hairline however I have noticed a marked improvement. I had to go back and look at your pre-op situation and story and there is no doubt a pretty remarkable change in your cosmetic improvement despite the density not being there yet.

I have a feeling that due to your prior poor work, things are going to take a little more time for you to experience complete growth. It might still take up to 6 months in my opinion. Likely there was some scar tissue as your immediate postop photos from your first surgery demonstrate that the work was certainly not clean and refined.

Be patient my friend. I am confident you will be good.

Hello,

I have sent Nat his pictures and he will no doubt be keeping a very good documentation again after his second procedure despite having a new job that will keep him busy. We all appreciate his honest progress updates.

We at SMG have kept in close contact with Nat to follow his progress, not just through the forums but via emails too. Nat has been very patient and I belive secure in the knowledge that we stand behind our work. Nat's result at 9 and 10 months had us perplexed as to why he was not achieving our normal results. Even after seeing him in person, it's difficult to say why he did not have full growth. There is definately some improvement from his first pre-op status with SMG and at his 11 months post op. We can speculate and give some reasons but no one knows definatively. In the end, we transplanted a little over 1600 grafts to fill in the hairline and within the frontal 1/4 to give Nat more styling options. There was less growth on left so more grafts were concentrated in that zone. We all cadmin our fingers that Nat will achieve the natural hairline results that we expect for all our patients.

Best wishes Nat! Heal and grow well.

The 12 days post op pics look great. The redness has diminshed quite a bit. It's nice to have plenty of hair to cover the work. Did anyone at your new work suspect anything? I hope you like your new job.
