Hi everyone! I just wanted to make a quick post introducing myself to the forum. I'm looking forward to getting involved here. My name is Brenton and I'm 31, and received 2,001 grafts via FUE from Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles on July 31st of 2014. I started losing my hair in my mid-20s and after years of trying over the counter supplements/shampoos/etc. (to no avail), I finally decided to get a hair transplant just a few months after my 30th birthday.

It's been almost a year since my hair transplant with Dr. Mohebi, and the experience has far exceeded my expectations. It's funny to think that a couple years ago, I didn't even know that hair transplants were a viable option for someone suffering from hair loss - and I especially didn't expect to get the kind of results I've seen myself (and countless others) have. It truly is a remarkable procedure under the hands of the right surgeon, and I love that these forums give us all an outlet to share our experiences, ask questions, and learn about our options. I barely knew about these outlets/forums for the years that I was silently suffering with hair loss on my own. Looking back, it would've been a great resource for me to have and saved me quite a bit of stress had I known how to utilize these forums sooner.

Shortly after my hair transplant, Dr. Mohebi brought me on as his Patient Advocate to simply share about my experience. Over the past 10 months, I've really come to enjoy learning more and more every day about hair transplants, and getting comfortable just talking about my own personal journey with hair loss. It started out as something that I was very ashamed of and secretive about, but I've found that I now actually enjoy talking about my hair loss and my hair transplant with friends and acquaintances when it comes up in conversation.

If anyone has any particular questions about my own personal experience with getting a hair transplant (or other hair loss questions in general), reach out and I'll be happy to help.
The picture I'm attaching shows my progression up to the 6 1/2 month mark:

Top Left: Day of SurgeryTop Right: 2 months post-op, redness practically undetectableBottom Left: 4 1/2 months post-opBottom Right: 6 1/2 months post-op

I should be meeting with Dr. Mohebi soon to get my One Year Followup Photo. Can't wait.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Crudance, I'm not sure how much we lowered my hairline, to be honest. I'll see if that's something I can find out.
