I ´ve been on these sites for loads of years, just a reader, normally don ´t like to get involved in politics or polemics.
Topcat you are a breathe of fresh air, go for it, the more you say the more I enjoy reading.

Hey JT thanks for the support just reading your post now.

What I have come to believe and my wife and I talk about this all the time is that everything happens for a reason so just go with it. Try to find the hidden meaning and what you are supposed to do with it. Life is all just kind of a journey so go with it and try your best to do some good.

I recently spoke to a very long time repair patient and what he said was interesting. He mentioned some of the guys that have been around and understand this all better as having battle fatigue which is very common. It is often why you will see the industry trying to wear down people when they don t like their views hoping they will go away. All kind of part of the game. What I have found to be true is that those who are honest continue to keep doing what they are doing which is establishing integrity by example. It sometimes takes years to establish but it's the right way to go.

JT I post quite a few fitness photos in my own thread. The reason being is that it s part of something bigger I m working towards and much of that has to do with information itself. I have studied nutrition and human performance for close to 40 years now and I have plenty of experience in that area. What I can tell you is that it took me a very long time to figure things out. The reason being is that I never understood that most of the information I was taking in was marketing information and the same of course applies to hair transplantation.

What I have found to be true is that marketers in general regardless of what they are selling, product, idea, belief system etc have kind of hijacked many of the information systems or at least try to as much as possible. The more money they make the more control of the information they can sometimes gain as money can become a weakness for many including the information outlets. Since the human is a herd animal for many reasons one being safety in numbers most will simply follow what they see many others doing or if the marketers can simply get others to believe this is what many are doing than often times that is good enough.

I would say at this point in my life at 52 I am at my strongest, leanest and my times in the 100m are the fastest but I don t follow what most of the herd is doing in fact much of it is the opposite. If most knew how much fat and cholesterol I consume as only one example they would gasp. It s been close to 20 year personal experiment and over 100 books on cholesterol and lipids alone that have gotten me to this point. Most are not going to consume that type of information in those quantities and until the man on the TV or the fast talking rep says it s true the herd will still keep believing these so called experts a good example is the sudden uptick in FUE which has been around for at least 15 years.

Fear can sometimes only be overcome by taking in massive amounts of information which is not marketing based. There is no other way as one s fear tends to keep them from breaking away from the herd as doubt starts to creep into their mind. It is only then when others start to see someone doing something different that seems to work or make more sense do they start to listen. It is a very slow process and it has been that way throughout history and right now the marketers in general have created and continue to control what most believe but one can see the slow change starting to happen is some areas.

I am very happy with my own repair and what has kept me around is walking away from what I see is not an option. Plenty examples in life out there in general of people who have left others behind or simply walked away to save themselves. It s something that is not in me ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦I have been reading up on the warrior gene recently and maybe I have it I don t know but what I do know is that no one deserves to be harmed so someone can make a few extra bucks.

I don't want to get into name calling but some in this industry I can only describe as weirdos and I ask myself what kind of person does some of what I see............it creeps me out in way.

Thank you for the support. It's only information and those researching should gather as much of it as possible. You don't have to agree with it but gather it all.

JT below is a quote from Business Insider. I think anyone who has been around and knows of Ronald McDonald, Mayor McCheese, The Hamburglar, the invention of the food certificate which eventually morphed into what we know today as the gift card, happy meals, restaurants with their own playgrounds, etc would never expect to see the possibility of this type of iconic institution going out of business. Not this kind of marketing machine, it just didn t seem possible.

Times have changed. It has become easier to place more information into people s hands and the marketing dollars are having a hard time controlling the message. The Ronald McDonald front man no longer works and switching up the game to the 24 hour breakfast is not going to cut it when people lose trust and for those that are unaware it only needs to be explained to them. The same can be applied to hair transplantation. People armed with honest information make better choices when it s all explained to them. It doesn t mean it s a completely dishonest business but much like food one needs to find those doing business with honesty and integrity.

There will still be consumers that make bad choices. You can't save everyone. Sometimes people will believe the Ronald McDonald marketing blowhards. It s almost as if the harder they blow the more many seem to enjoy it. But it s all slowly changing.

McDonald's franchisees believe the brand is in a "deep depression" and could be facing its "final days," according to a new survey.
"We are in the throes of a deep depression, and nothing is changing," one franchisee wrote in response to the survey by Nomura analyst Mark Kalinowski. "Probably 30% of operators are insolvent."

Hi topcat,

I agree you should not believe everything you read on the internet or in print; little is substantiated by totally unbiased credible sources. I ´m sure your words resonate with many, especially any person who has been on the wrong end of something and feels aggrieved; it ´s normal.

I hope less people will read this than read your posts, I have written a long post, and said nothing related to anything I use this site and others for, my point in writing this.

regardless of what they are selling, product, idea, belief system etc have kind of hijacked many of the information systems or at least try to as much as possible.

Using the web to promote, giving it the look of being unbiased by quotations has always been a credible, or should I say viable way to add respectability. Of course it can be, but also it cannot be.

Fear can sometimes only be overcome by taking in massive amounts of information which is not marketing based.

As you say, marketing does not have to mean the commercial promotion of a product or company; everything is marketing based in life, social interaction, whether deliberate or natural, positive or negative. A pseudo theological website for example is certainly marketing based.

You are personally marketing.

I post quite a few fitness photos in my own thread. The reason being is that it s part of something bigger I m working towards

I could say this guy is just being helpful, or I could say, he wants to get his point across, maybe marketing? Maybe he can piggy back off others and use it in the future for personal reasons? What ´s wrong with that, nothing, free marketing, using the web to promote what you re working towards. It ´s a lovely bubble of irony we live in.

Using the negative positive is also a great way to install a sense of probity, you don ´t have to believe me, research yourself, read the book, go on, I dare you says the nameless salesman, you give the reader the source material to confirm your opinion, it ´s great! It endorses the premise being promoted but without having to cross reference any facts, just emotion. The herd mentality working well, shepherded into a thought process, it s been going on for millennia.

Not marketing based is an oxymoron by your own definition regardless of what they are selling, product, idea, belief system etc If you believe in research and education, then it make sense to liberalise information, so it is easily viewed. A business website, you want people to only rely on those? No? But hold on, I ´m lost.

You said a few time that you don ´t mention names because it ruffles feathers, what do you care whose feathers you ruffle? So you know things and don ´t say anything, how does that help anyone researching. The reason being is that it s part of something bigger I m working towards

Emptor cavete does not only have to refer to purchasing a product or service it can also apply to what we believe or put trust in.

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all of the time. Knowingly doing wrong of course it is wrong, it should be exposed for what it is with fact to ensure the some of the times becomes smaller and smaller. We all make mistakes, some have bigger consequences than others, normally because we sometime make choices emotionally, so to set my own caveat, in no way do I condone or understand how a person could do harm to another.

I was troubled you wrote to a person on here:

Maybe in fact that is why you are having this experience to help someone else in the future.

You mean this? This guy was chosen to get a bad result? This is not rational.

I opened this topic to confirm what I think I see, note the word see and not believe, you have confirmed it though, with every reply you made without input from me.

Reward does not have to be for financial gain, there are those that totally altruistically give back, but they rarely shout the loudest but go about their way with measured reasoning. You protest too much without saying anything that constructive most of the time. I have a mind, and sure everyone else does here, we come to read about hair things, not McDonalds, and your theories on the big bad world, why not make your own platform for that.

As far as giving away information for free I ve been doing it with hair transplantation for the last 15 years. All the content I post is free. If someone finds any value in it great if not than just pass it up but it is free.

As far as ruffling feathers some patients that contact me don t want to come forward because they are afraid they will not be able to be repaired and they don t want to be sued. Some of the stories I have heard do make me laugh in a way. It s like some of this guys have an epiphany and they now understand how it works so they just stay silent for the most part.

Regarding the fitness photos. Basically what I am saying here is that a bad hair transplant 30 years ago was not something that destroyed my life in fact it was just the opposite because that is the choice I made. I made the choice to stay away from doctors in general and become as healthy as possible. I have not been to a doctor outside of ht for 30 years. This in fact was very positive for me and that is what I am trying to show it affected me in a positive way so others can learn from the path I chose. I made sure to take steps to move out of my comfort zone giving speeches, stand up comedy , second city etc. Something I might not have pursued but I wanted to go in completely the other direction as many patients who seem to become reclusive.

I m also trying to say to maybe just get in shape and forget about this whole hair transplant idea. It s too risky. Many don t understand the procedure is very limited and there are just too many bad players. Get in shape and cut the hair close to the scalp and forget about tattooing dots on your head too ¦ ¦ ¦it s not a good idea.
The point of my statement about a person maybe having an experience for a reason was simply to look for what good you can do with an experience even if it s bad. I'm certainly not wishing someone a bad experience.

JT your reply is very hard to follow but if you have a specific question about me that I have not answered then simply ask a question..........and I will reply.

BTW the book is not about money. It's hopefully a vehicle towards something bigger as far as getting the information out there. It's important for me not to waste my experience and to do something good with it. As far as making money my passion is health and fitness and I'm in the process of moving forward in that area..........it's a slow process for me.

Maybe I can help.

I opened this topic to confirm what I think I see, note the word see and not believe, you have confirmed it though, with every reply you made without input from me

His first post had 42 words. You made three follow up posts without any further input from him, that have 1108 words when most people would have simply said "thank you for for your support". In other words, he's saying you're full of sh*t.

I would suggest you take your own advice.

Of course, you also said that I'm getting annoying and if that is so I have the perfect solution to the whole problem. Don't read my posts.

Someone in the industry told me they were keeping a dossier on me................and you want me to believe some of these guys are normal.

Keep in mind, I wasn't the one saying you're full of it. I was translating the OP's post for you since you didn't seem to understand that he was mocking you. And you don't annoy me. I generally like to read your posts as it gives me a lot of insight into how wrong you are about most things.

For instance, earlier in this thread you were beating your chest by telling the OP that you have been reading up on the "warrior gene" and that you think you might have it. I don't think you've been reading about the warrior gene like you say you have been. I think you saw or heard the term and made an assumption that it was a good thing, maybe even noble, to have such a gene because it "prevents" you from walking away from helping others.

Your lack of understanding of simple concepts and facts that are staring you in the face is what continues to tell me that anything beyond your basic message of having patience is potentially dangerous. Having this warrior gene you speak of is definitely NOT a good thing but it does explain some of your behvavior. The "warrior gene" is directly linked in multiple studies to anti-social, criminal and even violent behavior. This may explain the comment that you made when you were talking about shoving a pastry up your relative's backside simply because she was trying to get you to try said pastry. One of the characteristics of the Warrior gene is impulsive violence. I really don't know anyone that would think, much less respond in this manner, but it explains a lot about you.

If you truly want to read up on this, type "the warrior gene" into any search engine. I haven't read where it affects hypocrisy but if not the warrior gene it must be due to some other noble gene you must have.

I think some in the industry just can t handle patients stepping forward and pointing out the obvious over the last few years. The fact is there are only a handful of highly skilled fue doctors out there with a body of work that spans years. Enough patients have spoken up over the last few years to the point that the strip market can no longer be talked up. I think it s just sour grapes on losing that control and many have now been forced to offer fue in some way or simply go out of business. It s too bad for all the guys in the recent past that might have been given poor advice.

To repeat there are only a handful of doctors with the skill and that doesn t correspond to some giant list so of course some people are not going to like that view. What they don t get is it s about the patient and what best for the patient. There is a doctor here in the States that I don t particularly care for and it s not because of his skill. I always tell guys that if you have to have a procedure here and skill is paramount then that is where I would go if all that mattered to me was skill. I tell them this because I have a moral obligation to do so while also stating for me personally I need more than just skill. I have to be honest and I always tell them you are better off not having a procedure and if you decide to move forward go for the absolute smallest procedure possible and the reason why would be paleocapa as a good example. Find out what you are getting into without risking too much.

I think these doctors that stuck it out for the last 10 years and in some cases 20 years with FUE have reached a level where they really don't need to be promoted their names are known.

Really Joe take your own advice and do your own thing and don t read my posts. Our list of doctors do not match not even close so agreeing does not seem like a possibility.

I don't want to get into a long debate on the warrior gene. Yes I use search engines but mostly I read books. The main point I was trying to convey is I'm not the type of person to leave someone behind or watch someone be harmed. It's just not in me and that is an aspect of the warrior gene that a search engine might not mention.

Here is a quick quote:"Men with the Warrior Gene are not necessarily more aggressive, but they are more likely to respond aggressively to perceived conflict"

So yes if I see someone being harmed or the potential to be harmed that is a conflict for me and I will not simply stand by and let it happen. Many in ht business have no problem just standing around not saying much and they have to live with themselves and maybe for them it's okay. It is also why I like guys like Dr. Woods he had it right from the beginning but he was a lone voice.

Who are you speaking to? What does this have to do with anything stated in previous posts? What has sour grapes? You're rambling.

Really Joe take your own advice and do your own thing and don t read my posts.

I normally do but I've been seeing an increase in attacks from you recently. When people tell me, unsolicited, that you are attacking me, I have to come and investigate. You said...

If this was a few years ago you could easily be dealing with a strip scar on the back of your head because that is what many of those putting lists together were doing to make the most money now they are offering Turkey and tattooing
Who else could you be speaking about? I used to work for a strip only clinic then left so I could have the freedom to offer what I wanted to offer. I then started a list of doctors I feel offer more than just good work, with the first being in Turkey and I work with Beauty Medical, a tricopigmentation company. Do you think you're being clever with this?

I'm kind of tired of your hypocrisy, Topcat. Give your advice, help patients, spread the good basic message of having patience, but stop it with the conspiracy theories and making it seem like anyone that doens't agree with you are scumbags. Your hypocrisy is dangerous.

You have guys coming on these forums that consistently recommend doctors who they themselves have not had a procedure. Maybe they saw something, heard something, or had a consultation and they are sure that the person is a good bet for someone else. It's amazing to watch as many don't understand the dark past of many of these doctors or other issues...Tell me you don't cringe when you hear some poster comment. Yeah so and so is the guy for this or that.................blind leading the blind without any doubt.
Topcat-March, 2015

In this very thread you attach yourself to the high moral character of a doctor that has been disciplined by his local medical board for leaving a patient alone in the clinic. Not the OR, the clinic, with no one else to watch over the patient; not even a janitor. Why? Because he had to make another run to the pharmacy to write a prescription so he could self medicate. He is addicted to pain medication. You also promote a doctor because he uses hand punches and "will have patients in his home" but he doesn't really use the hand punches himself. He has a tech that does it and he also happens to have a washroom IN THE OR that doesn't have a door. In other words, there is an open toilet being used in the OR itself. Nice. Good job.

You also said this about someone that feeds you inside information...
...your history speaks for itself and that is what I like about you.
Did you know that his history includes felony drug trafficking?

Finally, the icing on the cake, is that you belittle those that promote going to Turkey for hair restoration. I think in one thread you referenced sending people to "timbuktu" to emphasize the silliness of it. However, you yourself help to run a medical tourism website where you send people to Macedonia for discount dental work and you put the patients up in your Bed & Breakfast. How is this any different than patients traveling to anywhere outside of Brussels for their hair transplant surgery?

This thread was started by someone that obviously sees what many of us do. You have a narcissistic personality disorder in that you can't NOT post thousands of words to even the most simplistic and short comment. You have expressed this multiple times including the time you branched a conversation we were having over to another forum that has higher traffic because you felt more people should see what you have to say. Who does that? You belittle those that disagree with you and you make recommendations that are dangerous and even claim that there is a moral superiority to these recommendations. You criticize those for doing the exact same thing you are doing with your dental tourism business and you believe and support a convicted heroin trafficker.

At what point do you just say to yourself that enough is enough?

When I speak to people I absolutely always tell them first and foremost avoid this procedure. Not only is the industry too corrupted but the procedure is very, very limited. STAY AWAY ¦ ¦..STAY AWAY ¦ ¦.STAY AWAY can t be repeated often enough. Personally I think taking hair loss medication for years which tends to feminize the body is not a good idea not even for hair and would never consider it myself. If they insist on surgery I then tell them go for the absolute smallest procedure possible........not for a cosmetic effect but to understand what you are getting yourself into in case you just want to walk away from it with as little damage as possible or maybe you simply chose the wrong clinic without really knowing. I tell them to research for years because in my opinion that is how long it takes and go with who they feel is a safe choice. Verify it for yourself. Some might not agree with these opinions and if young guys want to listen to someone else that s great , the more the better. Have as much information as possible is what I always say and make your own decision based on gathering that information.

If you use the forums use them every day and read every post and watch how it all works for a few years. Hopefully you can learn something, both good and bad. Some think all this caution is silly ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦..sorry but I disagree I believe this caution is critical.

Timbuktu is simply a reference to a place most can t locate because they don t know where it is on a map. It means know where you are going and why you are going there and it should not be simply because of price. You are reading way too much into it and I am simply commenting on the history of the industry. No different as when guys were still doing micro/mini grafts when something better was available. People comment on it as it being the wrong thing to have done and I agree with the people who make those statements. Why would someone give someone minigrafts when something better was available ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦I guess they didn t want to buy the equipment ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦or maybe it was extra work ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.many of these guys don t like the extra work which I suppose is why fue was not offered by many over the years.

You are confusing narcissism with a passion for passing on information. Unfortunately I am not qualified to give you an evaluation like you have done for me ¦ ¦ ¦.maybe seek a professional.

Like we often hear in this business no one doctor is going to be perfect. Some were offering Acell/plucking which didn t seem to go too well while some offered robotics only to scrap them and these are only a couple of examples. If a person can learn from their mistakes well we are all just human. Hope the doctor with the drug issues overcame his problem and the other one got a door for the toilet. There was one rep that I know of who was telling a patient to post a blurry photos if anyone insisted on a update and another one that would encourage patients to post something good ¦ ¦..not about the doctor but about the rep of course their are more stories ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦..lol ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦.. what a crazy business ¦ ¦really ¦ ¦..stay away ¦ ¦ ¦ ¦..

I actually enjoy seeing those that have been in the industry for a long time advise against surgery as the risk is too high. That is something I can certainly agree with. This recent post by a patient explains the risk better than I can.

I like this advice. And this is the kind of post I need to see too, to help me with my own ability to cope right now.

I have never once been on medication for any psychological condition. Never been clinically depressed. I would deem myself mentally rock solid prior to this FUE HT ! But seriously this FUE HT has brought me to my f*ing knees mentally! I've never experienced anything that has shaken me like this.

I'm ashamed to admit but in my darkest hours I've even grappled with ridiculous notions of suicide. I know it's stupid, but I can't help the thoughts that pop into my head. What can say other than that since my HT, I have become depressed. That's just the way it is right now for me.
I've never had such a demoralizing blow to my self imaging and right there on my face and forehead for the world to judge me!

OMG! My recipient area is badly red purple discolored, scaly, bumpy, and I swear I can't imagine it ever getting to the point that it will be undetectable from the surrounding area of normal skin. It's scarred damaged tissue it would appear to be. I'm struggling to come to terms with this fact.
This dreaded red line across my forehead just mocks me every time I glance in a mirror. A daily reminder of this mistake I made.

But what can you do really? The only thing I can do is wear a hat to conceal my embarrassment and this also avoids questions and judgement. In addition, try and stay as positive as I can.

When I speak to people I absolutely always tell them first and foremost avoid this procedure. Not only is the industry too corrupted but the procedure is very, very limited. STAY AWAY ¦ ¦..STAY AWAY ¦ ¦.STAY AWAY can t be repeated often enough.

Then why does your own signature say....

I recommend fue with hand punches in the .70-.85 range. In my research 10+ years a recurring theme regarding FUE among employees of other clinics. I was told Bisanga was the man my research told me the same and my experience validated my own research.
You advertise for BHR. You have it in your signature and you have a link in your profile that leads to your photos and the over 150 additional cases by BHR. This is the link on your profile...
http://tinyurl.com/y8m256z

If you truly told people to stay away then why don't you just have that in your signature? Maybe add that you won a pro-bono procedure for your first visit as well.
There is nothing wrong with this if you're honest about what your goals and intentions are but as I've said, and proven, you're a hypocrite and a liar.

Like we often hear in this business no one doctor is going to be perfect. Some were offering Acell/plucking which didn t seem to go too well while some offered robotics only to scrap them and these are only a couple of examples.

You seem to have trouble separating what could be described as a trial and error scenario from documented severe personality disorders as well as documented felony criminal behavior. You have a consistent message that is well documented about the psychopathic tendencies of "those in the industry yet some whom you recommend and associate with are themselves documented examples of what you so despise. When confronted about it you wish to just say "human error"? Your entire existence on the forums is about pointing out the corruption and criminal behavior in this industry as evidenced by your multiple references to the FTC (just one example) but when real and documented criminal behavior is pointed out about those that you associate with, endorse, and even idolize, you just want to say it's simple human errror. It appears that you like to warn us all about this industry when it doesn't involve your friends and heroes.

You said less than two months ago that if you had ever been a hair transplant doctor you would like to be like the doctor that is now revealed to have been disciplined for drug problems and leaving a patient alone in a clinic. It is clear now that your narcissistic personality disorder and idolization of and association with criminals in this industry has blinded you to the fact that you support that which you rally and preach against. Instead of looking at and criticizing those that have obvious and DOCUMENTED histories of criminal behavior you wish to lob riddles that are veiled attacks on me and anyone that doesn't agree with you. You are very selective with whom you criticize because you were among the first online to point out the story about the doctor in Florida that called himself Jesus. You did so because you did not respect the man. He wasn't in Brussels or Sydney, he was a strip surgeon, and he advertised online, so he was the enemy. The doctor that you idolize has done far worse yet you want to chalk up his history as "human error".
Stop it with the riddles. Stop it with the attacks. Stop it with the double standards.

The reason I wrote, I just got bored you trying to dominate conversations I found interesting with your droll and I think you had your own agenda. Since then it ´s moved on to things I didn t know about.

Topcat quote: regardless of what they are selling, product, idea, belief system etc. have kind of hijacked many of the information systems or at least try to as much as possible. This is what you have done, hijacked the forum for your own personal mouth piece.

Topcat quote: I post quite a few fitness photos in my own thread. The reason being is that it s part of something bigger I m working towards

You deflect questions about your own quotes:

Topcat quote: Maybe in fact that is why you are having this experience to help someone else in the future.

Me: You mean this? This guy was chosen to get a bad result? This is not rational.

Topcat quote: The point of my statement about a person maybe having an experience for a reason was simply to look for what good you can do with an experience even if it s bad. I'm certainly not wishing someone a bad experience.

The reason he had a bad experience is he went somewhere that did bad work, there is no other reason. Your statements are irrational; trying to fix some illogical phantom reason to reality, he was destined to have the experience to help others? Might as well say I got hit by a car and survived to tell others.

Topcat quote: As far as ruffling feathers some patients that contact me don t want to come forward because they are afraid they will not be able to be repaired and they don t want to be sued. Some of the stories I have heard do make me laugh in a way. It s like some of this guys have an epiphany and they now understand how it works so they just stay silent for the most part.

So hearsay, you cannot prove, not saying they are not true, but you cannot prove.

Why say?

You talk about research, facts, and presenting the truth, but then don ´t back it up.

Topcat quote: I made sure to take steps to move out of my comfort zone giving speeches

You succeeded.

Topcat quote: STAY AWAY ¦ ¦..STAY AWAY ¦ ¦.STAY AWAY can t be repeated often enough.

After reading, all this smacks of you, your own experiences, sorry for you, truly, but don ´t pontificate to me. You don ´t help me or others I have spoken to (sorry can ´t say names ¦sure you understand)

Topcat quote: BTW the book is not about money. It's hopefully a vehicle towards something bigger as far as getting the information out there.

I am sure the majority of what you post was

Topcat quote: a vehicle towards something bigger

No one drones on like you without an agenda topcat, I thought possibly you working with another hair loss platform, I have heard it happens, and strange some platforms you don ´t rant like you do here, hairlosshelp for example?
You almost put me off reading here, your health fitness products, you were trying to build credibility online for your book and something bigger I m working towards .

The dentist thing is a twist to the story; talk about ironic, did make me laugh, so, a totally unknown dentist, maybe they are good, who knows, you recommend so must be, we should go to.

Crossed a big line there, credibility

Can ´t see me wanting the book for free with the tactics you use.

Yes always better to stay away from this procedure, the industry is too corrupted. If you absolutely insist than look for someone that is skilled with small hand punches and have the smallest procedure possible. There are only a few out there with the skill and the years of experience. I think it is a safer road to take while keeping in mind no procedure is risk free. Plan on being able to get back only 25% of your hair up on top for those that will suffer from major hair loss long term and that number could very well be even lower. That is not a high number to begin with so if you start too early or in the wrong place like the crown you could very well have a date with destiny and it might not be correctable. Being able to get back a small amount of hair is sometimes good enough. That is my personal opinion.

Young guys today don t need to pursue surgery. The shaved head or closely cropped look is in so why not just go with it. The era of 70 s-80 s big hair is over so use it to your advantage. My suggestion to young guys with hair loss is to just get busy with something. When you are busy you don t have time to obsess about hair in fact that works with any kind of loss in your life.......get busy an idle mind is the devil's workshop. Get into fitness or find a hobby, club, etc. The risk with hair transplantation is not something to take lightly. As far as oral hair loss drugs long term in my opinion it s not a good idea but I respect those that decide it s for them it s a personal choice.

I m am grateful to this forum and to BHR for the pro bono offer but the reasons are simply not what have been stated. When I was informed about the promotion I thought okay I will give it a try and somehow if I get picked than I will have no choice but to go. It was simply a way of getting me to take action. It is a very well known goal obtaining strategy. I don t need anyone to give me anything. I m not that type of person. Working hard for something and saying I did it myself is more in line with my personality as I take pride in what I can accomplish alone and its also why I have always competed in sports that were individual in nature and still do to this day.

I only took half the offer and gave away the other half to the next 2 paitents, one who I already knew and was from Canada. Even with that I thought about backing out of it but then I started to feel a little guilty and that was the point of having to make the commitment so I followed through. I had contacted dozens and dozens of posters to come here from another forum to vote for me because that is how I am. I get all caught up in something I am doing and want to win just to win which is simply a trait of competitiveness.

It would have actually cost me less to have the procedure here in the US with the expenses that I incurred. Cost was not a factor in fact another repair patient tried to convince me to go to India with him but I was not interested regardless of how low the price. My plan was to see Dr. Bisanga one day and in my mind it was probably about 5 years away as I was not desperate. I actually thought that maybe he would come here to the States at some point in time and work out of another clinic which would have been such a great idea in my opinion. Kind of a way to train others so I was content with just waiting and seeing what happened. The offer simply moved my date forward. Not only did I accept only half the offer I only wanted 25 beard hair extractions when I got there. I know that sounds ridiculous but I wanted to be safe and not take the chance of going backwards. Dr. Bisanga convinced me that I would be safe with 200 so I went with that and some scalp hair then paid for the other procedures which in the long run cost me much, much more than if I would have stayed in the States as it changed my destiny in some ways which is too long to get into and I believe it was meant to be that way for some larger purpose.

I m very thankful to BM, Phil B and this forum and I try to be respectful because I have not forgotten. I am also grateful to Farrel from another forum because he had no issues whatsoever with me PMing those dozens and dozens of posters there to come here and vote. Another reason why I like that forum and I believe Farrel is honest which is an opinion that was gathered over a very long period of time and why you see me often praising that site, to me it means a lot. I value honesty and that is something I promote. Yes I am appreciative to this forum and I do not forget but I also have to stand by my own principles so hopefully others understand. Obviously I am only one voice so if what I have to say doesn t make sense people will eventually be able to figure it out.

As far as my online documentation every clinic I consulted with I made that stipulation clear. I plan on documenting my case completely online and always asked if they have an issue with it, sometimes asking twice. Most did not have an issue with it except for one and I thank God that they did and they were not considered. At first it seemed to be extra work for me to constantly take pictures but I am also a person that is very disciplined. When I develop a habit that I believe is good I tend to stick with it. Hopefully my updates were of value to other repair patients. I also always advise any patient that is considering a procedure to let the clinic they choose know they are going to document online. In my opinion it is extra insurance just in case, it s also important for readers to be able to follow a case as opposed to showcase results which simply do not have the same value in my opinion.

I do my best to remain respectful. This past week alone I have read 2 ht patient postings that were suicidal in nature, 6 patients that now believe they are repair patients, 2 warning threads, 2 finasteride users who are suffering severely, and a few updates that are presented by the patient in a way that almost says this doesn t look right does it? I don t think any of this is necessary and that is why it is much safer to stay away from the procedure. More people are coming forward and information platforms are changing and I believe honesty will win out in the end.

I commend any one that offers a pro bono offer for patients that need it and as I have stated in the past that is exactly what I plan to do with the money from the book, etc. I don t want that money it s tainted in a way and this is all a big diversion from my real passion which is fitness and nutrition. Hopefully I can use my real passion to raise the awareness of the one that was imposed upon me which I believe was done as a greater plan.

Guys online have spoken badly about me but I laugh at it all. Yes I did the lifts and the reductions because I didn t have enough information and there was no Internet and yes I was young and desperate to fix what was done to me, so I learned the hard way like others. I was a complete idiot and I don t have any shame about lacking that knowledge. It never occurred to me that there were people in professions that would try to fool other people to make money. I understood the concept of the guy on the corner playing 3 card monty but it never occurred to me that would happen in the medical field. I learned and I will pass those lessons on because it s important to me. Hopefully if anyone in the hairloss industry has someone they care about or maybe even themselves end up suffering from some disease such as Cancer etc, they are given advice by those that might have something better only they have a smaller voice. Then they will be grateful and understand better.

BM if you would prefer that I don t post here I would respect that and I wouldn t consider it a banning. Just know that I did not forget the promotion and it did help me move forward. People can come up with screen names I understand how it works..........no big deal for me.

Pre planned reply? I can ´t read it all, it goes on too long about YOU!

You know I only started this because you annoyed me of taking over people ´s comments, but now I am sure you have an agenda.

Don ´t interrupt my life with your problems and plan.

By the way, what ever I thought, the dentist site, you have no credibility, you are no better than those you attack, shame on you.

The point of a pro-bono program is to help those that cannot help themselves. I wonder how any of the other members that were hoping for a repair with Dr. Bisanga feel about Topcat's confession. I have a fairly strong vocabulary yet I haven't the words to describe how I feel about this. "Insulting" just doesn't quite cut it.

Topcat,

I thought I would take this opportunity to thank you for your invaluable advice.

As you can see I have come a long way from A to B. It was difficult knowing who to trust
and you helped me a great deal.

Many Thanks
