Hi. So I started to become really paranoid that I was losing my hair a couple of years ago. Everyone still insists I am crazy. Even my stylist tells me I have full coverage and even though my hair has always been on the thin side..I have nothing to worry about.

I finally broke down and put myself on propecia about 14months ago. No side effects and, although it did get really thing for a brief period of time...My hair came back and I haven't noticed any real difference over the last 2years.

That being said, I still don't know if this is all in my head or not. My fiance' tells me its just my natural hair pattern and I am not balding.

Top pic is about 6 months ago. Bottom 2 pics are from the other day. I have hair gel in all my pics.

Do I look like someone who is going bald? or is this just my normal hair type/style.

I tend to notice that people with the same hair style have the same swirl at the back...which is what my fiance' tells me.

It looks a little thin at the crown on the top and bottom pics on my phone but i think its the gel that shows the scalp more, theres no bald patch as such and the light is shining on that area so this will make it look worse too. If you are on propecia and it continues to stay like this I would not get a hair transplant as its ok at the minute.... If your stylist says its fine and they see this up close I would just keep an eye on it dude. (You may have just caught it at the right time by going on propecia when you did)

If it progresses maybe try rogaine foam.

Your hair looks fine to me, a little thinner in the crown area but that may be your natural hair pattern as your partner suggests.

If you were losing it and have not noticed any changes in your hair since taking Propecia i would stick with it if i were you as the meds may be preventing any further loss.

Cheers Bm.
