Mypain,
While I sympathize with your plight (I really do) I am always surprised to hear from people with thinning hair who isolate themselves because of it. It is a completely natural occurrence, and the truth is, if you find yourself more and more reclusive because of it you might have other issues that need addressed other than hair loss.
I once had low self esteem in my teens, and not because of hair loss. As I got older into my 20's I lost that problem and probably acted way too confident, actually quite cocky, and much of that may have been compensating for low self esteem. Either way, I was very sociable and had an active social life.
Then I got a series of bad hair transplants, and have never been the same. Not because of low self esteem but because of embarrassment. I cant remember how many times I wished my biggest problem was hair loss.
You need to realize that not everyone is a candidate for a HT, and quite honestly, you are probably one of those people. If you ever decide to do this you need to consider just how extensive (and expensive) such a procedure would have to be to give you coverage.
My advice: Figure out why hairloss is causing you so much pain and fix this. That is the real solution to your problem. not surgery. Either way, good luck
