Hi All,

It's been a couple of weeks now since my 2400 FUE HT and i've ordered a 28 day trial course of Propecia, I'm prepared to give it a 12 month go if I do not develop any serious side effects within the 28 days, but how soon can I start?

Best wishes,

Jo.

You ordered it? Propecia is a prescribed medication and should be prescribed by a doctor.

Whoever your ht doctor is, I'm sure they'd say to start right away as there's no need to wait until after you have a procedure.

Thanks Janna,

I've researched the medication for a few months now then took an on-line Dr consultation, I researched the company, they're based here in London and regulated by our Gov bods. So if I start the medication now would it hinder the healing or re growth process of the grafts?

Jo.

Thanks for the reply BigMac,

I thought it was quiet expensive at 39.95 for a month, but then the more you buy in bulk the lower the price. I've heard talk of Proscar cut into 4 pieces to cut the cost, what do you think to this method?

best regards,

Joe.

I Just wanted a months worth to see if I get any serious side effects, can you recommend a good solid site for proscar? I saw "My Canadian Pharmacy" Do 96 pills for under 100, no prescription required, in fact i've seen quite a few on-line Canadian pharmaceutical companies that do not require a prescription for this product, not sure who to trust, here in UK we need a prescription for these?

Regards,
Jo.

I use proscar and cut into fifths or smaller, no native loss since 2002.

No reason to delay after an ht, get straight on it!

No side effects here either :)

Well, 4 days on Propecia now and all I've had is a warm jaw, although I'm not sure if that's anything to do with the Propecia? So come on fellas/girls who can I trust to supply Proscar? I mean I don't wanna find that when the tablets arrive they're simply vitamin pills in Proscar packaging, know what I mean?

regards,
Jo.

Hello all, Many thanks for all your input. Well, I've been on Propecia now for 1 month and the great news is no side effects... err .... as yet anyway, so I'm gonna give it a 12 month trial. How much should I be paying for this medication? prices vary wildly all over the internet!!!

Glad you're not experiencing any sides. Are you going to try Rogaine foam too?

Best of luck with the meds.

I thought about the Minoxidil route and unfortunately i've come across quite a few negative reviews about people losing more hair, shedding without regrowth. Not sure how true this is... Has anyone here had experience with Minoxidil?

I used Minoxidil 5% extra strength a number of years ago, i was sure it was re growing hair in my crown area but unfortunately it irritated my scalp too much so i had to cease using it.

I did try Minoxidil about 8 years for a year and a half when I first noticed my hair thinning, I didn't notice any difference Think I'll stick with Propecia for now and see how it goes. ::;mb I want to move over to Proscar cut into 4ths when I've finished this 3 month supply of Propecia, it's working out at over 400 quid a year. I feel that's too much.

Best regards,
Jo.

Where do you get Proscar from? I might give the real thing a go instead of the generic cipla version.
