Hi all, my first post, so apologies if this has been addressed already. I'm looking at an FUE, mainly for my receding hairline (and a bit around the crown.)
I've had a total of 5 consultations in the North West of England, with various clinics, however the advice, number of grafts and price have all varied massively(Grafts varying from2,500 to 5,700. Price varying from £1.60 to £3 per graft.) Some suggest not to fill in the crown or the top of the scalp due to the risk of shock on existing hairs whereas some say go for it along with finasteride. I've just been left completely confused and a bit trepidatious about the whole procedure. Does anybody have any recommendations for a good clinic in the north of England? (Or ones to avoid?)
Also, I'm looking to be as discreet as possible when I get my HT. probably a stupid question but would either of the following be feasible/recommended -

- Shaving my head to about a 1mm, then repeatedly doing this for 4months post HT (to get through the shedding phase and allow the hair to all grow at the same time.) [/*]
- Only shaving the donor area and keeping the top long, to cover the recipient area as well as possible. [/*]
