Scalp dryness 5 months after procedure

I'm having dry scalp issues 5 months post procedure, to the point where my scalp is peeling. I have a feeling it may be caused by the topical Finestaride/minoxidil I've been using twice a day. I'm going to switch over to using it once a day and see if that helps. Does dryness in the scalp cause issues with the healthy growth of the transplanted hair? (I'm not scratching my head)

Do you have a picture showing the peeling? It sounds like bad dandruff caused by the meds. When I used Minoxidil it irritated my scalp and caused dandruff that rumbled large snowflakes. Nizoral shampoo helped but I had to stop using the Minoxidil.

Here's a pic. I have a feeling it's the topical spray as well, just don't know why this problem started almost 4 months after I started using the topical spray. I really hope I don't need to stop using it. But my bigger concern is whether dandruff or dry skin will affect the transplanted hair growth in any way? I've been dealing with this for almost a month now.

No picture.
What brand of topical are you using? Does it contain an alcohol base? That`s what usually causes it

Oops. Here you go. It's unbranded...I get it from the pharmacy. It's 0.1% Finestaride/6.0% minoxidil. They prepare it. I'm not sure if it contains alcohol. Don't they all?

Can’t see anything untoward on your picture. If you do an online search for no alcohol minoxidil you’ll see examples and suppliers.

Thanks for the input. We've also had the heater on constant at home and at work due to cold weather, so I wonder if that's a contributing factor, because Ive been using the topical for 5 months and thus dryness issue started only a month ago. The dress itself doesn't bother me. My only concern is whether it will have any adverse affect on the growth of my transplanted hair (i.e., my expensive investment).

It just sounds like some sort of irritation. Give the Nizoral shampoo a try and let your HT doctor know.
