Hi Scarred good question. This was something I was aware could happen as when on Proscar I lost a considerable amount of body hair and beard looked weaker. Being on Saw Palmetto and taking one tablet of 450mg per day has not show any detriment to the beard or body hair which I still have in abundance. Taking more could have a detrimental effect so for me it was about striking a balance and remembering that I do have beard hair on my head.
