Hi Beaglelover. Could you add a picture from further away like in your earlier updates?
I presume the rest of the hairline you’re happy with, it’s this one area where the density hasn’t been achieved yet. Kevboy is correct with his opinion. Sometimes for whatever reasons there may be an area that requires a touch up. This will probably be the case for you. A small amount of grafts will rectify this quite easily. Waiting the full 12 months is pretty standard. There is a chance you could get more new growth but for now I’d work on the principal what you see is what you’ll get.
Try not to beat yourself up about it. As I said, it’s a simple fix and I’m sure the doctor has your best interests in mind.

Hi everyone,

my hairline gradually has filled in. I am still not completely happy with the tiny bit in the corner but it has definitely filled in more since my last update. The rest of the transplant has come in amazing though. I have two other friends which have had hair transplants and mine by far looks the most natural and you can really tell the quality between mine and theirs as they had theirs in Turkey.I have gone back to Dr Mark Tam and he has agreed that a very small top up session would be beneficial for me. I will post updates after the next one. I’ve had many comments from friends and family about how good my hair has been looking recently which really has boosted my confidence. I am really glad I chose Mark as I know I wouldn’t have been able to have someone who takes pride in their work whilst supporting me. My friend is planning on having a second procedure with him to fix his first one from Turkey from seeing my results. Throughout this thread I have tried to be as transparent as possible to help other people in their HT journey but the only advice I can give people is wait 12+ months to make a full judgement and choose a doctor who will be with you the whole process even after the surgery and you won’t regret it! I am struggling to see where it is thinner, I think it looks good. How many grafts will a top up be?

Do you have a clearer picture showing your hairline and the area you’re wanting more grafts added? From the picture you’ve added, your hairline looks good.

as you can see from the previous photo my hairline really filled in, but the density was slightly lower than the other side. Everyone told me my hair looked great and my confidence was boosted to the point I felt like I had regained my self-esteem.

However, I decided to get a tiny top up on the left side merely for additional density. When you have a surgeon who is as skilled as Dr Tam, why would you not go back if you think it can make you even better/happier? Family and friends don’t understand why I would want a top up but I don’t think anyone understands unless you have lost your hairline before which I’m sure members on here will! Having it come back to its full might is one of the best things that can happen to a man

For anyone who is reading this trying to decide whether to have the surgery, I have friends who are questioning whether to take the leap or not at the moment with getting a hair transplant but I cant recommend it enough, it will change your life and you won’t spend the whole day thinking about how the Barnet is looking nor will the wind be your worst enemy

finally I can’t give enough credit to Dr Tam and his team for the level of service to restore not only my hairline but my confidence. Painless and hassle free, please don’t struggle with hair loss when you haven’t got to! Always do your research and do what suits you but all I recommend is look closely at results and determine which surgeon gives you the most natural look and for me Mark Tam is your man.

also thank you to whoever has replied on this forum that’s kept me level headed through the process. it’s been nice to have support from random people who have also had the HT experience!

You have a fantastic head of hair courtesy of Dr Tam. I do not think I would recognise it as a hair transplant which is testament to the ability of the doctor. Enjoyed following your journey.
