The Private Clinic (Dr Furqan Raja)

Hello. I have had three out of my four visits/consultations to different major London clinics. I await the fourth visit but am currently leaning towards The Private Clinic with Dr Furqan Raja.

Has anyone had any experiences with this gentleman? I gather a somewhat famous surgeon used to work there (Dr Raghu Reddy) but no longer does.

Price is no object and I want the absolute best procedure possible.

Dr Reddy has parted with The Private Clinic but still offers surgery from his own clinic.
The doctor you mention looks like a freelance working at The Private Clinic and Hillside Hair Clinic. Usually, when they are freelance their patient results are shown under the clinic name making it hard to research them thoroughly.
Why are you leaning towards this doctor?

The doctor you mention looks like a freelance working at The Private Clinic and Hillside Hair Clinic. Usually, when they are freelance their patient results are shown under the clinic name making it hard to research them thoroughly.
Why are you leaning towards this doctor?

Thanks for the reply - basically I've visited three clinics so far, one was a definite No just based on the atmosphere there, whom I got to speak to (only a marketing man, no sign of a doctor) and the general factory feel of the place. The other two have been the above described, and WMG with Dr. Rogers (a well known name in the field, I understand?)

Both of those were good. My meeting with Dr Rogers and his colleague was a little rushed but they were just on a break in the midst of a surgery and I didn't need much more time with them, anyway. Overall I liked the guy and that's what I'm looking for. I suppose it's a bit like my own line of work (finance) in that in theory everything is a logical, rational decision but in the end you want to work with someone you trust and get a good feeling about. I'm sure all of these clinics are roughly in the same league, really?

I have one more meeting on Saturday and then will make my decision.

Part of it comes down to availability - they are all booked up a couple or three months ahead, but some of the clinics have the odd one or two free days sooner (cancellations or gaps) which fit in much better with my calendar.

I have recently had a Hair Transplant with Dr Raja at The Private Clinic, Dr Raja is not a freelance surgeon he works for The Private Clinic.
I have loved my whole experience with them and the fact that Dr Raja carried out the full procedure was what made me choose him and The Private Clinic. Have you seen his before and afters? I couldn't recommend going to see him for a consultation enough.

Oliver, he works at Hillside which indicates he is not an employee but a freelance/contractor. Maybe you could ask him to confirm. There are a lot of doctors who don`t own the clinic, they have their own companies, they will invoice the clinic for their services. This does not mean they do poor work, just a fact, they are not employed and ultimately patients should know who is responsible for them and are they covered by liability insurance if something were to happen.

It would be great if you could start a thread in the patient section to showcase your journey.
