Looking great, and still very early days. Thanks for posting! Your donor area looks great too. Do you think you could get away with shaving the back and sides to grade 0? I'll attach a pic of how I mean (excuse the ear, I was taking a pic of something else shortly after getting it cut a few month ago). This is one of my concerns, Dr Reddy thinks I'd be fine, but I'm nervous. Especially if in 20 years time I end up needing or wanting to just shave my whole head.

Can't wait to see continued progress, if you're happy to keep updated of course.

If I do go ahead I'm going to document mine and post online. As a speaker I have a plantform to reach people, and there's hardly anything out there on Dr Reddy other than his own channels, which of course he's only going to post the good stuff.

Can I ask too, how did you come to choose Dr Reddy?

I can't say for sure whether donor areas could be shaved that low without scars being visible - for me, I (or an observer) can't see any marks on the donor areas however close I look, but then I do have some hair coverage still (as depicted). Perhaps others can weigh in on this - there must be some people who've attempted a skin fade after a HT. Personally I'm too old for such fashionable styles, so will probably never find out!

I chose Dr Reddy after visiting 5 or 6 other clinics in central London - I live close to Harley Street so my search was only focussed there, which narrows things down. I don't think people decide on these things based entirely on objective, quantitative reasoning; it's largely done by "feel" (which, I believe, can be trusted perfectly well as we're attuned to important subtleties that can't always be described easily), but a process of elimination of other candidates for one reason or another left me with two I liked enough to go ahead with. Dr Reddy, despite being a +3mo wait compared to the other guy, won out in the end due to various factors surrounding his location, relaxed schedule of the day, premises, personal involvement (he is hands-on almost the whole time) and general manner.

I don't see you looking too old for a skin fade, but it's personal choice, if it's not what you want :)

Thanks re your answer, it's good to hear how you chose who you did. I spoke to other clinics early on, and have found them to just be pushy and try to lure me in with discounts etc. I'm never going to trust a clinic that does that. I had an online consultation with a clinic that from my reserach is supposed to be a good one, but they said one thing in the consultaiton and then when they sent through the quote they'd changed it to needing a LOT more grafts and so of course at a much higher price. Again, not gonna consider them for an instant!!! From what I understand Reddy deters you if he doesn't think you're suitable, and so that's the type of person I'm more inclined to trust.

6.5 Months

Hello, everyone. A brief update with some photos from the 29-week mark. At around 3.5mo I decided to stop shaving my head, which I had been keeping buzzed closely until then. I wasn't really sure how it would look as the coverage looked quite weak compared to the natural (sides, back) areas. Dr Reddy actually advised that I wait a few more months before attempting to grow it long, but I thought I'd go for it anyway. I used some fibres occasionally at the start, they really are quite an amazing product. There are no fibres in for these pictures.

Lit from above, it does look pretty thin still, and the texture is distinctly "new" and somewhat weak feeling. I gather than the last point in particular is something that improves as more time goes on.

Overall very pleased so far and looking forward to the next 6mo of growth.

Looks good buddy, especially seeing as you only had 800 grafts! Texture and hair thickness definitely improves over the next 6 months

Looking good at this timeframe. The hairs will mature further as they go through their growth cycles.
