UK Hair Transplant Clinic Reviews Anyone?

Hi everyone. Thanks for providing this informative platform, it`s helped my research enormously.

Some basic info :

Male 38 y/o

Loosing hair noticeably for 6 years

Propecia and Rogaine Foam applied once a day for 2 years

Hair loss stabilized the past 6 months

Hair line all but vanished, only a few wispy hairs hanging on

Location; Oxford England

I`m contemplating having a fue session to rebuild my hair line, temple points and the thinning area on my mid scalp. I`m in the region of being classed as a Norwood 3.

I met a clinic consultant several years ago, he travelled to Oxford to see me. At the time I was not taking any medications, but I had researched their benefits and drawbacks. I informed him I would prefer to have surgery in the UK, he pointed out that I`d need to travel abroad if I was to achieve a decent result. He was quite pushy offering available dates which put me off, after 45 minutes we went our separate ways. I received an email soon afterwards, again offering available dates I could secure with a small deposit. I replied saying I was going to try Propecia and Rogaine first, something he never mentioned once during the consultation. Since my reply I`ve never heard from him again. That's my only interaction with anyone in the hair transplant industry.

Roll on 2 years I`m now thinking I should go for it, still wanting to stay in the UK for my own personal reason. I`ve been searching for clinics quite local to my area, disregarded some, others I`m not sure on. Some clinics I`m considering getting in touch with is Westminister clinic in Stratford upon Avon, has anyone had a positive result from them? Farjo clinic have lots of results, but they`re mainly fut patients, deciding if a trip to Manchester for a consult is worth it. Fue clinic in Birmingham claim 100% growth, with many satisfied patients, although I can`t locate any online. Has anyone had a positive fue experience with any of the above?

Best regards.

If you plan on staying in the UK. You will find many results on here from the likes of Dr Farjo and Dr Ball.
Other than that it could be worth researching Dr Reddy, Glasgow Clinic and Ziering.
Good luck with your research.

I recently had 1,100 FUE with Dr Ball at his clinic. On the whole I am very happy, although only 2 weeks post op so cant obviously say too much yet but in my opinion he's as good as you will find in the UK. I had consultations with other clinics. Do your research and have at least 2 or 3 consultations and you'll then know which option feels right. Good luck!

Hi hergman,
We are performing an ever increasing number of FUE procedures. You can see our most recent case in the Hair Transplant Clinics section. We offer consultations in London as well as Manchester if easier for you.

Hi OP,
How did you get on with your research? Did you identify any reputable practices in the UK? I'm just starting out in this (based in SW UK) and am looking for advice and recommendations on where to go.

I like Farjo clinic and Maitland clinic, also checking with Dhi and Vinci to see which doctors perform surgery in London.
