Vera Clinic Hair Transplant Turkey - result could have been better

4350 grafts were transplanted with the Sapphire FUE technique.

In general, I am happy that I decided to do it, even I had/have a higher expectation regarding the result: for me, the result is not as good as expected, but acceptable. This is certainly due to the fact that I watched videos and pictures of people for whom it worked very well. My consultant went through the same process and his result is really good.

Things I liked
  • The driver was always on time
  • I was always informed on time via WhatsApp about what was coming next
  • The hotel
    • It was nice and clean
    • The breakfast was varied and always very tasty
    • The personal was always friendly and always ready to help
  • The clinic
    • It was clean inside and gave me a trustworthy feeling
    • The personal was really friendly also ready to help
    • My interpreter was really nice, friendly and spoke German very good
  • The operation
    • It did not hurt at all
    • The recovery was nice and smoth. I just had fever at the seventh day after the operation, but it was not that tragic
    • The washing time (one day after the operation) was a highlight, since the itchy feeling went away for a while

Things I did not like
  1. The doctors who did the whole process looked very young. If I would have to guess, I would have guessed they were not older than 30. Even the doctor who inspected the whole process. If the clinic advertises with experience, I would expect something different.
  2. During the extraction phase, I laid on my stomach with my head (face) to the right, which I was able to tolerate for the first few minutes, but then the position became very uncomfortable and that took a long time. I expected a “lounger” where I could rest my head face down like I saw in some videos. I had to move my head several times to relieve the tension a little, but that only helped to a limited extent and only for a short time.
  3. In my opinion, there was far too much going on in the operating room, people going in, people going out, people asking questions, people talking about stuff I couldn't understand. All of these actions made me feel like this might distract the one who was extrating the grafts. It was not a nice feeling, because I could not really relax.
  4. In the implantation phase, there were two doctors working at the same time on my head. I did not expect that and I did not like that at all, especially because I read that each phase must be executed by one and only one specialist. I was about to say something, but I was not sure how to address it, especially because the doctors seemed like they could speak little English.
  5. My interpreter was a little late. This is normally not an issue for me, but I was nervous because of the operation and not having her there yet did not help that much. Im not really sure, how late she was, but in my condition, that took long.
  6. Six, nine and twelve months after the operation, I filled out a form with pictures of my progress and I did not get feedback at all and I was a little disapointed.
