hey guys just wondering if anyone else had problems on here due to the volcanic ash, whether it be missed surgeries or other problems like being stranded etc.

It would be great to hear other stories and thoughts on the subject;)

There are flights leaving Newcastle and some Scottish Airports.

Hopefully the ash will clear soon and everyone who has been affected by this can have their surgery`s re scheduled quickly without too much inconvenience.

from watching the news this morning it seems like the main initial goal for this week is to fetch stranded passengers home first, not many new outgoing flights as yet. The government has also laid on 100 coaches too it says to help the stranded ¬b` although some are saying too little too late as usual.

Some people interviewed were saying they couldnt get flights until next week because of the backlog...............hopefully now the airport will work 24hrs a day to get back to some normality faster.;)

Yea our goverment have been very sluggish in helping out stranded passengers.I heard John Cleese paid £3000 for a cab to bring him home from Norway. Geeze.

Looks like all the flights are getting back to normal now with most airports open for business.

We had to juggle the 4 patients we had this week due to cancelled flights. I worked with two of the patients and Matt handled the other two. Hopefully everyone is rescheduled but what a royal bummer for those thoroughly inconvenienced by the volcano ashes.

I think the train services in Europe have probably made a lot of money since the volcanic ash situation began.

A lot of stranded passengers have probably taken trains to get to their destinations if they were located within Europe, and this increased demand for train rides has probably enabled the train services to raise their ticket prices.

That ash clouds done more to stop immigration in the past two weeks than the labour government have done in the past ten years!
