Who is the best Hairtransplant doctor?

Who is the best hairtransplant doctor in the world, surely there must be one who stands head and shoulders above the rest with outstanding results? Which doctor do other hairtransplant doctors trust with their head when they go under the knife? This would give a good indication to the skill and respect others put into such a doctor.

I ask these questions as while researching on the web every other doctors website claim they are the best. Its hard to make a choice based on the info from websites as they all claim the same.

Hi Mate

This question has been asked many times and I 'm afraid you might not get an answer. Firstly how do you define the parameters? - thinnest scar, best yield, happiest patients etc etc. It's not like asking, 'Who is the world's fastest runner?'

The best way to look at it is that there are a handful of Doctors in the world performing excellent surgery and who consistently produce good results.

If you are thinking of having work done, you need to research around the HT world and consult with as many doctors as you can and meet as many patients in the flesh; this will give you an idea or what you can and can't expect. Don't rush into anything and remember to see through all the internet hype.

Many of the regular posters on here including me have had work done from a number of surgeons. My pictures can be found in the link at the bottom. My surgery was done by Dr Feriduni in Belgium and there are other great docs there- Devroye and Bisanga. I also like the work or Shapiro (bigmac has been there), Rahal (Canada) and True and Dorin.

Thanks beardywierdy, I`ll keep researching. Will try to meet patients in the New Year and get some consultations under my belt. Would you recommend I the Farjo clinic? as they look good, also I read that The Hospital Group have been taken over by an American doctor, would you recommend them?

Farjo are the only clinic in the UK doing any nice work, as far as I am aware. I went for a consultation with the Hospital group back in 2003 and thankfully saw through them; never heard a good word said about them back in the day. Not sure about them since they have been taken over, so I couldn't comment on them now.

Different doctors suit different patient needs, some will give you a list of say their personal top five choice which will differ from others and some will only say the doctor that has produced a good result for them.

Take a look at all the results on here by both patients and doctors, then maybe do a few consults.You could also stick around and try to make our patient meet up in Manchester which is looking like it will be held in January.

Remember to research as much as possible.

Regarding the websites, its marketing as they are all going to claim to do excellent work, they wont say our work is average or poor as no one willconsider them, hopefully the forums will help you sift through it all.

Dont forget to meet people who have got ht done. Thats the route I am going for as I dont trust websites alone.
