I've read around a bit on diffuse thinning, I never heard of it before but it seems like it's same as MPB, just a more sporadic random balding, so I dont think any meds will help.

Yes they help keep your remaining hair.

Hi Dodgerm6.

Your hairloss has progressed quite a bit,it looks like you will be around a Norwood 6 looking at your picture.

It is a good idea to try the meds to see if you regrow some hair or simply retain what you have left.

If you could post a picture once your hair has grown a little that would be great.

Alternatively if you are happy with the shaved look, keep shaving it off and don't go down the transplant route as it may be a lifelong commitment.

Cheers Bm.
Norwood 6?? No way man, I have hair on top, albeit thinning. Heres a new pic, about just over a week growth.

Thats a better picture, although you have still lost quite a bit and may progress to a higher level unless the meds put a stop to it.

Note that I started receding at 15 years old, I'm 34 now so this is a 19 year progression, you really think these meds could work for me? How about regrowing lost hair back?

Hi Dodger. If you still visit the forum could you post an update on what you decided?
