It does not look like all of the grafts transplanted in the hairline have grown, because it is quite sparse there, particularly when the hairline is displayed. Crowns can be difficult to fill, I've had a few surgeries myself, but would expect the hairline to be better.
Has Dr Arshad offered a free top up? What has the clinic said about your results? Quite a few of his patients have had free top ups.
It's also interesting that technicians removed the grafts after Dr Arshad punched them. Normally it's the surgeon who does that to preserve the grafts.

Agree with Edsarn that you need a 2nd opinion from other surgeons. From the pictures you’ve posted, there is a difference but the density and coverage appears poor. A reputable surgeon could give you an impartial assessment of the result.

Tbh all they have ever said is that it's not the result they were hoping for and a top up was discussed but not free. More thousands of pounds but tbh after one go and not getting the results I was expecting I just don't think I can be bothered going through it again or willing to throw more money at it incase the same happens again
Waited years knowing I would always get one. Saved for it and tbh just dissapointed in the results.
Now I always have the question at thr back fo my mind... What would the results have been had I gone elsewhere. Who knows

The top up discussed would be another 3000 grafts. So a total of 7000 over the first and the top up. I would expect a full head of thick hair for that amount? I'm just at a loss what to do tbh

I am so sorry to read this @Leighroy - unfortunately, your’re not the first person it’s happened to on this website. There are quite a few other patients who have had poor results.
Did Dr Arshad offer any explanation for the results you achieved and what he would do differently if you have another operation?
Like others on here, I would speak to other surgeons who have experiences with doing repair work and see what they say. You’ve got to remember that we only have a very limited donor supply, so have to maximise it.

Hey. I'm in a similar position. I have found Dr Arshad condescending and overly confident without a clue to what's going wrong. His follow ups have been perfunctory and not worth the travel for me. I am also looking for a repair now.

Oh no @41M - I am so sorry to hear this. When did you have your hair transplant? Unfortunately, there are few people on here getting repairs done due after a hair transplant by Dr Arshad. I would recommend getting a few consultations with doctors who have experience in offering hair transplant repairs, given our donor areas are quite limited.Hey. I'm in a similar position. Thanks. I had my procedure in December 21. I've travelled 3 hours on 4 occasions and had limited feedback on possible causes for the low yield except to say topical finasteride and minoxidil are now to be avoided for Arshad clients as he thinks some scalps react badly.
Are there any doctors listed anywhere for repairs? I really do need one. I've struggled to find any recommendations outside the usual Farjo and maybe one other in the UK. Ideally my next one would also be the UK despite a bad experience.

That seems quite common too, in terms of excuses offered. Not sure about the UK, but I have seen some very good repair work by Dr Feriduni and Dr Bisinga - both Beligum. Both are highly experienced hair transplant surgeons.

It may be worth talking about the yield specifically with the clinic. If, for example, they met you half way (a subsidised cost taking into account you probably needed more grafts in the first place, but also that you also didn't get the growth you or the clinic hoped for)?Tbh all they have ever said is that it's not the result they were hoping for and a top up was discussed but not free. For me, I would say it was worth a conversation and may give you options to consider.
Obviously, you'd need to be confident that you'd be able to get a result you would be happy with, and that would mean making sure you understand why the initial surgery wasn't didn't give the result you'd hoped for.

Sorry to read your result wasn't as hoped for @Leighroy, it looks like you've had decent growth in the crown considering there was a large area to fill but the frontal third is certainly not where you'd expect it to be after that amount of grafts. As others have mentioned, I would be inclined to get a second opinion before having another procedure.
Dr Farjo, Dr Ball and Dr Mani are the only ones I'd personally consider for repair work in the UK.
Outside of the UK, Dr Bisanga and Dr Muresanu are also ones to consider.

Is Dr Mani known for repair work? I thought I'd seen that his prices were substantially higher for non-virgin scalps?Dr Farjo, Dr Ball and Dr Mani are the only ones I'd personally consider for repair work in the UK.

It’s looking good so far. Should get a good result and brand new hairline in the end.
