Day 31: The Paranoid Phase + PRP

I came to Brussels today for session 2 of PRP. I noticed the past few days an increase in shedding and when Dr Lupanzula was cleaning my head a lot of hair came off on his wipes.

I read a lot about the shedding phase and even though it is totally 100% normal, it can still play with your mind.... All part of the journey I guess.

I am a little worried about the gaps in my donor area (sides) but Dr said it would fill up with time. Happen to anyone else?

Time for the worst part of the HT.... The Shedding.

In the pics my hair looks wet. That is all the PRP "juice" haha

Day 35 - Now the shedding phase is in full swing. Can I wear hair fibres?

Sure I've read somewhere it's ok to use Fibres post op so long as you wash them out properly at the end of the day.

oh ye i normally wash it out at the end of the day and would only wear fibres at times when I cannot wear the cap. Until I fully grow out.

Quite normal to shed a lot of hair at the one month stage, some shed everything within two weeks.

Hopefully you're a good responder to the PRP with some accelerated new growth.

Week 7 :

The shedding is brutal. I have a feeling I have lost some of my native hair (shock loss). Is it normal to also shed native hair? As I am comparing the pics of my shaved hair before the HT (as you can see above) and I certainly have more native hair than now?

Also what do you think of my donor area? I think maybe that still needs time to recover?

FYI I had my back and sides shaved to blade 1 two weeks ago.

Feedback pleaseeeee

Anyone get shock loss in recipient area? I am a little worried about it.

I mean shock loss of native hair not shedding of transplanted hair as I know that is normal.

Your donor area looks fine. You were thin in some spots before the hair transplant, and I think you have some donor shock but overall I see nothing of concern.

Thanks Joe. How common is shock in recipient? I am sure I had a little bit of shock with my native in that area as well.

2.5 months: itchy recipient area:

I noticed it is becoming more itchy in the recipient the past few weeks. What does that mean?

Sorry, missed your reply. Recipient temporary shock is common, to varying degrees, but if the hair was fairly strong it will return. If it was on it's last legs of miniaturization then it may not but those types of hairs generally add very little to the overall aesthetic.

Itchiness, particularly when it is increasing a bit, tends to be a good sign of healing, activity or both.

I definitely see growth. Hang tight!

From what i understand 3 months is just the very beginning of the growth phase but in the pictures i can see a little growth already.
