Incredible result so far. It's good to see these sort of results from the HairDr. You must be pleased with how things are going?

Your results look fantastic Simon.
I'm booked in with Dr Arshad at the HairDr in around a months time (near the end of October) - in fact your results made me decide who to go with.

I noticed in some of your earlier posts that you use Minox, did you use this prior to your HT or start using after? - do you think this has contributed to getting a better result?

Im not sure but what I can say is there are a lot of hairs that are just starting to come through

I think it goes without saying finestride should be a must

minox is a bonus, I started used minox 4 months after my HT

good diet is a absolute necessity for anyone having hair issues

While I’m here , heres my routine for anyone interested

-0.5 mg of fin on a morning
-1mg of minox (topical) before bed

-Dermaroll twice a month
-eating better and taking a multivitamin + biotin every day

-I use a clarifying shampoo / cider vinegar once a week

(I live in a hard water area and normal shampoo can react with the water to leave a layer of calcification on the scalp over time, the clarifying shampoo will remove this

I believe this has stopped a lot of my previous hair from coming through and along with my diet before my HT probably caused some of my hair loss

This is interesting. I’d be interested on other people’s thought on this routine. I’m on 1.0mg of Fin a day

I definitely noticed a huge acceleration in my hair loss when my diet became worse , again this is just my personal situation , will vary or may not affect anyone else

I have been put on 1mg of fin a day but dropped down to 0.5 from my own choice , I’ve read into it and here’s the stats :

DHT inhibition per fin dose: (daily dose)

5mg - 69.2%
1mg - 68.7%
0.5mg- 67%
0.25mg - 64%
1/8th of a 1mg tablet - 53%
1/16th of a 1mg tablet - 25%

I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL AND DO NOT TAKE THIS AS MEDICAL ADVICE

I am only stating what was mentioned in ONE test , you can google “ finestride effect on dht” and make your own choices.

I would stay on what you were given (1mg) a day because it is clearly effective and has been tested by medical experts

That's interesting regarding the clarifying shampoo. Is there a particular brand you like?

Interesting thanks!

After doing some research myself I have gone down to 1g Fin 3 times a week.

I watched a great video explaining it here:

It decreases the chance of side effects yet still does the job intended
