Incredible compose up. Impressive normal hair per FU. I see forward to taking after your advance and wish you the exceptionally best!
Hi Rolanas as I read somewhere you mention dr Lorenzo is a world class doctor, did you not see him because of budget and dis dr ferreira do an equally good job as he would have done? How highly do you recommend anyone to him after seeing your journey? What's up guys, I'm a bit late with my update, but here we are.
Month 10
I've put together this short video with a recap of my journey so far and how I felt along the way. Of course at the end usual close-ups.
Overall It's still thickening up. It feels much thicker than it was a few months ago!
Currently talking to Dr. Ferreira in booking my 2nd surgery. So far closest day is end of May 2021, so either will get on cancellation list, or wait until thenAlso once I will figure out plan for 2nd surgery, will make sure to update this thread!
Dr. Lorenzo has a lot of proof that he is one of the best, but he was out of my budget.Hi Rolanas as I read somewhere you mention dr Lorenzo is a world class doctor, did you not see him because of budget and dis dr ferreira do an equally good job as he would have done? how has the company treated you after the procedure too?
Appreciate that Bigmac! It's been a great journey and somewhat fast! Can't believe it's been 11 months since my surgery!Looking good Rolandas and best of luck with your second surgery on your crown. Say hello to the doc from me.
Actually according to Dr. Ferreira I had up to 55 grafts/cm2 in the hairline, so it's somewhat dense packing But my hair is so thin it's crazy...Looking good Rolandas. The comb through shows how natural your hairline is without it being dense packed. Reminds me of my own hairline.
In 10 - 12 years time you can do a video like mine showing how a HT can last.
I did have some beard grafts added to my crown for more density.
Btw are you able to change 10.5 months to 11.5 months please? Seems like I did a typo. Can't find edit button!Looking good Rolandas. The comb through shows how natural your hairline is without it being dense packed. Reminds me of my own hairline.

Btw this looks good! I'd love to have your genetics haha
Indeed, in the past dense hairline was considered 40-45 grafts/cm2, so that's why I'm saying some might consider it dense packing55 is a little over the average but not too dense. It's worked well for you. My hairline density was planted around 40 grafts/cm2.
Well, according to Dr. Lupanzula, Dr. Bisanga & Dr. Ferreira I had around 22,000-25,000 grafts in my overall donor, so 10k could be safely used. Given I took just 3659 so far, extra 400-500 grafts wouldn't be big of a differenceI personally would leave it as is. It looks good and natural. You may need those extra grafts in the future. Possible future loss is the reason I never lowered my hairline even though I could do with it lower due to my high forehead.
Indeed all checked under magnification.Really that many? Did they examine you in person? You must have very good donor.
Indeed I agree with you. Donor area is really wide. It's within NW6 zone, but not in NW7, although it doesn't look like I will get to NW7, so perhaps that's the reason for this. That's a large donor area. 285cm2 would be approximately 10cm high with a width of nearly 29cm long stretching from ear to ear finishing just before your temples. Assuming you have 25,000 FU in your donor this will mean an average of 88 FUs/cm2.
The safer donor area is more commonly between approximately 160-200cm2. Many clinics now move out of the standard safer zone taking grafts higher and lower to obtain the numbers. This is ok as long as the patient knows those grafts have a higher risk of miniaturisation.
Another reason is to make the donor area homogeneous and blend the transition from donor to native hair to avoid the oblong shaped thinned out appearance in one's donor.
Do you know if Dr Ferreira practices the dissection technique for partial harvesting of family groupings that leaves behind a fraction of a follicular unit? Similar to what Dr Lorenzo does.
