No, still looks the same. Will put another round of pictures up at the 11 month mark but at this point I am not expecting much more. I’m feeling disappointed given the number of grafts taken, I’m seeing a few other results where growth has been poor so starting g to think it’s not isolated to just me.
I could be (and hope I am) wrong and get some late growth but at 10.5 months I doubt it

Yeah it ain’t just you there is a lot going around with this Dr.

Unfortunately there are a lot of poor results from the Hair Dr of late, lots on this forum alone.

12 Month Update:

I am now exactly 12 months on from my surgery so am attaching the latest update with pictures in a multitude of angles, wet, dry and in bright lighting to try to replicate the pre op pics and be as transparent as possible.

Clearly density is not where I want it to be and to sum things up I am disappointed in the result.

At this stage I was hoping to be in a much better position (appreciative that I would of needed 2 surgeries for full density)

I have been in contact with the clinic and they have so far given me 2 PRP and low level laser sessions to help growth but these haven’t really made a difference. They have been good in that they have been responsive and have told me they are committed to getting me the results we both expect and have offered me a free top up session - this would be for 1,000 grafts in the hairline. Leaving the crown for now as Dr A feels this is improving and still has time to further improve.

I would welcome peoples thoughts here…..

Hi mate. This is a disappointing result. What treatments are you taking?

I did experience some growth following 12 months, it hasn’t been significant but there has been some. There are extremely rare cases (only one I have seen online), of somebody having significant growth after 12 months.

To limit the number of grafts needed for a 2nd procedure, my advice would be to leave it until 18 months and take any supplement and treatment that may enhance growth. Also healthier habits (exercise, balanced diet etc, not saying you don’t do this already).

To me it looks like you need more than 1000 grafts, although it could be the harsh lighting. Did the clinic say where the 1000 would be placed?

indeed it is, if I’m honest, I am not hopeful for any further growth in the front or third. Perhaps a little further growth in the crown but not enough to get full coverage I suspect.

The doctor mentioned 1000 grafts in the frontal v to give density

Taking Biotin, saw Palmetto and multivitamins as fin sides were severe.

my biggest fear here is having a top up procedure on the results are poor again, this will leave me with almost no donor left for a third procedure. The clinic have been great in terms of their willingness to help me, but my big worry is seeing the growing number of Failed results. I’m really unsure what to do next

1000 grafts to the hairline should make a good improvement for frontal appearance but will this make you happy with the thinner density behind? What are you wanting to happen next?
I did ask you on an earlier post the following “Did you receive an answer as to why mild folliculitis could have been an issue? It may be worth having your scalp checked by a dermatologist just in case there is an underlying condition with no symptoms”.
Did you ask the doctor about this?

I’ve not had an answer on the foliculitus but My scalp (to the naked eye) appears fine. They mentioned that for a top up they would add steroids to help with anti inflammatory etc.
My big concern is the number of people who are lacking density- can’t all have scalp issues.

I’ve not had an answer on the foliculitus but My scalp (to the naked eye) appears fine. They mentioned that for a top up they would add steroids to help with anti inflammatory etc.
My big concern is the number of people who are lacking density- can’t all have scalp issues.

Why don`t you have your scalp checked out by a dermatologist or have a biopsy to eliminate any possible underlying condition.

I did indeed - a scalp biopsy was also done for me.

Hi, I'm very surprised with your results with lack of density considering how many grafts you had, maybe a 2nd hair transplant to consider even though the majority of people have 2.
Dr arshad did mine last year and I'm only 7 months in & it's my 2nd one.
