I've read some other forums where people are freaking about shockloss, but then they come back to show their final results and it's all returned. Seems like for whatever reason it jumps onto the same cycle as the transplanted hair and starts growing around weeks 12-16.

Well it has been just over 3 months now since the HT so I figured its time for another quick update. My shockloss in the donor area has definitely improved. I would hazard a guess that around 50% has grown back so im hoping that it will be all back by month 4 but we shall see. I am continuing the shave down the sides and back anyway just to help disguise the loss. Nobody seems to notice anything anymore so that's all good.
With regards the recipient area not much has happened to be honest but i figured that would be the case. You cant really tell from the photos but there are some hairs sprouting through. My middle forelock is starting to see some hairs coming through and I am delighted with that. I can only see around 5 or 6 hairs and while it would appear to be no different to what it was pre-op, the few hairs that are coming through are definitely making a difference to me and disguising the loss just by combing the hair is getting easier (as you can see from the second photo). I have been pretty much bald there for a few years so bring on the hairs!!
So from all my research i believe this is when i should start to see some more significant growth. Hopefully i wont prove to be a slow grower as time seems to be going so slowly already! But i reckon im well through the worst of it anyway and it will be great to actually have a decent hairline again in the very near future. I am still concerned that the centre forelock just behind the hairline where the hairs were implanted will be weak after the full result but time will tell.
I will probably give it another month before I update again but if anyone has any questions/observations please feel free to share them.

I posted in one of my threads it was like a rollercoaster. I didn't mean it was fun, I meant that once you are strapped in and moving, no matter how bad it is, there's no way out.
At three months I didn't even post an update, as I had no growth, massive shockloss, and a recipient area that was so red you could see it from space.
By month 4 though things has changed dramatically, as my body started to heal.
You are just on the cusp, take heart, it will be good. The forelock does not look good - that's true, but you will shortly start to see a mass of hair appear there as Bisanga tends to pack the hairline, as you can see from many examples on this board, both mine and Boberto's for example. This hair will have a tendency to 'stand-up' and will change the way you look.
You are through the worst, good things are heading your way I've no doubt.

The worst is over..might be a good idea to buy a usb digital microscope so you can get an extreme close of the the shockloss in your donor, it will make you feel alot better to see all the small hairs returning

So its now 4 months post op and i think things are starting to finally happen. Its hard to tell from the photos but quite a few hairs have sprouted through in the last month and' i have the very early beginnings of a structured hairline, albeit its very sparse. I certainly dont t think im an early grower but i appear to be on schedule i guess. The centre area seems to be coming in a little slower than the sides but I could be wrong as the centre area was pretty much bald so it may just seem more sparse.
The shock loss on the donor area is still evident but is getting better slowly but surely. I was hoping that it would have been all back to normal by now but unfortunately not. I seem to keep on saying this, but hopefully the hair will have all returned in the next month.
Anyway, that's it for now but feel free to make any comments or ask any questions. Cheers.

Are you using minoxidil on the schockloss area? It may help to get your hair into the growing phase.
