This 35 year-old patient, has a diffuse alopecia in all the upper area, but mainly in the crown. He had quit the medications, but started again (finas) 7 month before the procedure. His objective was the crown, reason why we carried out a 2501 graft procedure (6467 hairs, 2.58 hair per graft, 0.8 mm punch, 56 to 60 microns of hair; 108FU1/ 854FU2/ 1505 FU3/ 34 FU4). The great hair per graft average give us the opportunity of a better coverage of the area, that €™s help also to cover the frontal area (a second procedure was planned but the patient decided to pospone/not rush after seeing the outcome).

Beautiful Result

The crown takes a lot of grafts to fill but it looks like he has responded well to the hair loss medications as well .

Thank you for posting

Med's always has a main role in ICC results. In the alopecia protocols of the clinic, if a patient start treatment, the team normally wait 6 months to 1 year to schedule the surgery, for two reasons: to see if we see improvement in coverage of the recipient and, mainly, to see if there are any side effects, that can make us (both) change the strategy. Photos of the patient in November 2012 and may 2013. The surgery was performed at 7 months after return to meds.

1st consultation:

After 6 month of med's

Looks good, albeit you can still see through in the crown area. Will a second procedure be carried out? Has the SMP been considered to simulate an increased density?
