Hi All. Just sticking up an update, pics are bang on 9 months. I met Dr Bisanga & Steve recently which was great to catch up again. Dr B was running a bit late so got to have a great chat at length with Steve so was great to pick his brains on everything hair related. Steve is also big in to martial arts and i also have studied over the years. So Steve showed me a couple of moves in which hes lost none of his skill!! :)

Steve is truely the most unhard sell and knowledable rep ive dealt with which is very refreshing in this industry.

Dr B inspected the work and also gave me a consult ahead of a proposed 2nd op in which i would look to close temple angles slightly perhaps and bulk up top of scalp towards crown a little bit. I wont look at this until next year at least to ensure everything has matured.

Dr B looked at the small thin area mid scalp and straight away said if required he will touch that up at no extra cost with couple of hundred grafts if needed. Im hoping that it may not even be required as i can see thin wispy hair breaking through there. Im hoping it will fill in to match the front after the full maturation process. But this is precisely the reason i went with BHR. Fantastic clinic who stand by the work. I cannot recommend them highly enough from my experience. I will re assess everything from 12-15 months and make my future plans from there.

Anyway ill keep updating every month or 2 as ive gotten quite a few PM's on here from people who have said the thread is useful. So hopefully its helped people along. Im still buzzing my hair down as its so handy but also it keeps the new hair coming in even with the more matured hair.

I really recommend buzzing for the first year for people getting FUE done. You keep it all the same length as the growth comes in until its fairly even. It also make things less noticeable in the early months after surgery.

All the best.

Looks really good.......guys today really have the opportunity to do it right.......good for you.

I would have to agree with your comment on just keeping the hair cut very short before the procedure. Everyone is different but for most it's back to normal in a couple of weeks with nothing to hide.

Hi

As always great pictures and good to here you have BHR with you all the way, I think your right in waiting for a few more months before you make a decision on another procedure as you have buzzed down from the very start so you can see exactly were you are , your hair looks great now Bob anyway and you suit the buzz cut as well, I think closing in the temples a bit would be awesome though, I wanted to do a bit with mine but i have to keep with the age appropiate hairline , have a great week mate

Cheers

Hi Buillitnut, All is well thanks.

I am seeing new hairs coming through mid scalp every day. They have taken SO LONG to appear but more seem to be coming in now. Im just over 11 months now. Ive read things like they could have been in a different hair cycle when extracted from donor which caused a delay for them to appear. However mid scalp / crown always seem to come in slower than front from what i can see around

Anyway i will leave it another few months (maybe 15 month-18month) to make final assessment as a lot of these hairs look to only have appeared and are visibily thinner than the front.

I will try stick up some pics soon. Im still buzzing short like previous pics but i do plan to grow out a bit after the summer so i will keep the thread updated with the progress.

Cheers
Bob

Thanks for the update and correctly said the hairs are indeed in different cycles and need to re-establish them once transplanted and growth especially seems slower for most with FUE and as said also different parts of the scalp also need more time, vertex being obviously slower for most.

Apart from growth, maturity of hair is an important aspect and takes years to cycle and see hairs relax, often they can be darker and coarser than before surgery and will also relax in time.

Keep us updated and we can see you again in London when we visit and I can show some more moves, mostly moving to get a coffee these days.

Bumping an old thread (for some reason can't PM) -- Boberto, if by chance you ever see this, did you at any point decide to go back in and close the temples?
