Quick update just to show donor progress at day 19 which I’m pretty pleased with given the total grafts I have now had taken over all my ops and shows how both pro hair and Bhr have harvested well …well I think so!

Quick look at recipient already starting to shed a few so be sorry to see it go but look forward to future growth

Your donor looks in tip tip condition. Pretty amazing after the total grafts that have been extracted.

I also have quite allot of grey now as I was dying it so when dyed will prob look better.

But yeah I’m really surprised tbh not sure I’ve not had any shock loss really I can see but don’t know if that would show itself by now or can come later pretty sure it happens straight away?

But I think the donor and how it’s managed is as important if not more than the recipient as if it’s done bad can be unrecoverable. Very pleased with how it’s going, let’s hope I get the same results in the crown in a few months.

From what I read crowns usually take longer to show results but it will be a real benefit to you if yours grows in earlier than expected.

Your donor looks great considering how many grafts have been removed. Donor management is important and both clinics have done this well. Your crown still looks good with the transplanted grafts but as you know, it’s sad when they shed but don’t be too disheartened, they’ll be back before you know it.
Thanks for the update.

Waiting is the hardest part...a watched pot never boils as we say but stay patient and hope you get fast growth also!

Hi mate all good from a healing perspective donor looking good shaving down to a 2/3 and can I reckon go a bit lower may try a slight fade soon. No sign of growth yet but not expecting as only at 2 months. The redness went very quickly as well.

Looks about right for 2 months, back to pre-op and now and waiting for the first signs of growth. Nice that you can cut your hair short. A skin fade will hopefully be ok too.
Thanks for checking back in.

That is quite an improvement with you only being at 3 months post surgery. You might be on track for a super fast result by 5 or 6 months.

Crowns usually grow slower but this is nice early growth for you. There’s a good chance it’s the oral minoxidil that has speeded up your growth. Have you noticed any improvement in the non transplanted area?

Tbh I felt the oral minox improved everything pre transplant even and post hair is stronger and I think improved overal in the donor and past transplant recipient. Had very little shock loss to the transplant as well which I think was aided by the minox strengthening donor etc. I’ve had no sides touch wood been on it since April

This is looking very good for 4 months. Crowns usually take longer before there’s a noticeable visual difference like yours. I definitely think the oral minoxidil is contributing to your quick growth.
I did a quick comparison to show the difference.
Looking forward to your next update.
