Sometimes browsing forums English speaking , researching and carry the post op , I find a product called Procyte]http://www.amazon.com/Procyte-Graftcyte-Concentrated-Spray-Conditioner/dp/B001AC1WR2/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1TDF08E1K3516]Procyte Graftcyte[/url]

It claim that helps to heal and get rid of the redness , apparently has copper peptides and is specifically manufactured for the post op :whatever:

What pisses me off is that there's no much information about it, I read that some doctors have replaced the saline spray as they have found that really helps a lot .

It is a lot of money, but for me will be ok if really is a big difference vs using only saline water and aloe.

I hope somebody can give me some information c;;9

Thank you very much ! ;)

I was given the graftcyte spray and the shampoo and conditioner by my surgeon post op. I think that it definitely helped me as I had no redness. However I guess everyone heals differently.

4 awesome repairs with SMG
On all of my surgeries at SMG I used the graftcyte spray post op and I feel it really helped with the healing too and the redness went very quickly. I was so impressed I even bought the tricomin copper peptide shampoo too which is good.

We've used the Graftcyte spray for approximately 17 years at Shapiro Medical.
I believe it worked well and our patients always commented that they healed up with the redness diminishing fairly quickly. We have in the last 4-5 months converted over to a new post op spray called Liposomal ATP. This solution drives energy to your blood cells and makes the healing process even quicker than copper peptide. This solution is available only to physicians and has a very short shelf life. We still use the Graftcyte shampoo and a small bottle is part of the post op kit.

You can go to skinbiology dot com and read most of Loren Pickart €™s work. I used it €¦ €¦ €¦.must be well over 20 years ago when it first came out. Does it do anything €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..who really knows. Very hard to say as wrinkled skin most especially with women is a huge market and I suspect bigger than hair loss or healing. So when there is money to be made some people will do and say anything which makes getting at the truth very hard to do. Personally I believe the food that you put into your mouth is much better at healing the body while also increasing it €™s ability to perform providing it is healthy nutrient dense food. I know this from actual experience and personal results comparing myself to those in my age group.

Common sense would tell me if copper peptides were some type of miracle product after 20 years we would have realized it by now. It would be the talk of the town.

What is interesting about these types of products is after a few years something always new comes out as most realize the previous product didn €™t do much. It then becomes a consistent cycle of new product introduction every few years to keep generating revenue. Similar to the nutritional supplement industry. I can give you a list of probably close to 100 products each replacing the previous product over the span of close to 40-50 years. Just the way the system works.

Go with healthy food, the human body has been using it for thousands so years.

Now if you have a copper deficiency it might make a difference but then once again the best source is food as food presents the minerals to the body in a way that they can be used very efficiently. As noted below from the Weston A. Price Foundation. That second blurb is also interesting because if you are consuming a diet high in fructose which many processed foods are high in than you actually hindering healing. This is why diet and nutrient dense foods play a critical role in the process. Many think obtaining minerals and vitamins through a tablet is a good idea but food is always best.

From the Weston A. Price foundation.

Minerals are also ingested as integral parts of the foods we eat, in which case the minerals are held ionically in a claw-like way or "chelated" by a large molecule. Examples include chlorophyll (which chelates a magnesium atom), hemoglobin (which chelates an iron atom) and enzymes that chelate copper, iron, zinc and manganese.

Lysl oxidase is a copper-dependent enzyme that participates in the formation of collagen and elastin. Fructose seems to interfere with copper metabolism to such an extent that collagen and elastin cannot form in growing animals--hence the hypertrophy of the heart and liver in young males. The females did not develop these abnormalities, but they resorbed their litters

One of the foods I brought with me to Brussels was a giant bag of walnuts which are very high in both copper and zinc. Minerals presented is a way the body can actually use them.

I also eat beef liver which is high in copper but I did that when I can back home it's also very high in cholesterol which I personally find very beneficial.

We do not get bombarded with marketing for real food because no one profits from that type of marketing and no one can trademark or patent real food although some companies are doing the best they can and trying.
Good luck to you.

Just add to this. I used the ATP spray after my second procedure and it worked wonders. I had very little redness after 3 days and virtually no scabs this time.Whether this affects growth yet, I dont know, but it definitely made my healing time much much quicker.

Sorry to bump an old post but how effective is the Graftcyte spray or liposomal ATP spray? How quickly does it remove the redness? Does it remove it in days/weeks?
One of my concerns about a HT is the number of photos in the "Patient Results" section where the individual still appears to sport a red "halo" around there heads weeks, sometimes months on from the op.

It's probably the biggest factor putting me off having one.

Majority of the redness is gone by 3-4 days post op. Even the day after there is a significant difference.
