Advice needed

I'm 33 and been considering a hair transplant for a while, but this year i'm determined to go ahead with the procedure.I've had a few consultations and the doctors have said i'm a good candidate.
I've been using Minoxodil on my crown for about a year, which perhaps has thickened up the hair there. Very reluctant/dead against using propecia.Hair loss is kind of slow and steady I'd say.
Currently seriously considering having FUE in Turkey.I feel i need to educate myself a bit more before i go ahead and i'd love to get people's opinion on my hair and what sort of result i could expect with an approximate amount of grafts.
Appreciate any help

At a guess I would say 2500+ grafts with the possibility of a 2nd procedure due to no Propecia and your slow hair loss progression. A good natural looking appearance can be achieved with a decent density.
What were you advised by your consultations?

Hi, thanks for your thoughts.
I've had a few different opinions via the amount of grafts.
Dr Feller recommended 1800 fut to the hairline only.
Another 1500-3000 fut depending on how low the hairline was.
And Dr Dermisroy who I'm seriously considering at the moment said 2500 to the front and 900 to the crown via fue.

Why are you only using Rogaine on your crown? It can regrow hair or thicken it up anywhere on your head.

Well, i did use it at the front as well but i noticed it was shedding there which made me discontinue using it, plus it causes it to be a but sticky and matted.
However i'm now thinking i might start using it all over again just to see if it does get some growth there before a transplant

A mature higher hairline is what I would go for. This will reduce the amount of grafts required preserving precious donor for the future. If Dr Feller places it higher his estimate will be roughly the same as Dr Demisroy. I do not know of Dr Demisroy but I have viewed many good results by Dr Feller.
Coopman points out a valid point that I missed regarding Minoxidil growing hair over the entire head. You could try applying it at night time only washing it out the following morning.

Hi goonerfan,

Just wondered whether you considered going to India for your HT. You'd save yourself thousands and will probably get a result on par with any of the other top surgeons in the world if you go with Dr Bhatti. Check out my thread below.

Let me know what you think.
